Chapter 2
Later that night it turns to be about 6:00 pm, so Mari serves the kids dinner. Katie and Michael's parents are a business couple and we're gone for about the whole day, so Julianna suggested that they should hang out that day. After dinner Katie and Michael's parents picked them up and thanked Mari for serving the twins dinner and also letting them stay for the day. After the twins left, Julianna chills on the couch for a while on her phone. A few minutes pass by, or at least it felt like it and it's already 7:36 pm. Julianna is basically in a trance with her hypnotic phone. But she snaps out of it when her mother opens the door to a man wearing a policeman uniform. Julianna thought she recognized him from one of the Officers blocking off the reporters from the guilty man Chris Feliciano. Mari greets the man with a hug and friendly "Hello!". Mari turns to Julianna,
"Julianna this is Officer Randy, he's an old friend of mine. You might remember him from when you were younger. " She explains.
"Nope! Not at all!" Julianna says with a sarcastic tone to her voice. Julianna does not like new people, especially since she does not know him. Plus she has never trusted policemen.
"But I think I noticed you earlier today as a matter of fact! You were basically a body shield to Chris Feliciano. You know, the man that kidnapped and murdered a teenage girl!" Julianna states with a pissed off look to her face. Randy looks at Mari as if he knows he is not wanted there.
"Julianna that's his job! He would of never made it to court in time if those policemen weren't blocking off the reporters!" She explains with an apologetic tone to her voice.
" Oh yeah! Your so right! Only to find out that he's guilty! Yeah, because who saw that one coming! What you should of done, was let those reporters trample him to his death!!"
"JULIANNA! We do not wish death on someone!!!"
" Even if if he deserves it!!??!"
"Even then!"
Julianna rolls her eyes at her mother's comment.
"So any luck on finding the body?!"
"Julianna! You don't have to answer that." Mari states.
"No, it's ok! Actually no we haven't yet but we're still searching. I mean you gotta admit there is plenty of land to still search. Who knows if her body is even in Seattle."
"Yeah, I doubt you guys are even lifting a pinky! You're all to concerned on people going a bit over the speed limit or drunk old men laying on the lawn of a motel. That poor girl is out there and you lazy jerks are drinking coffee and eating donuts! Looks like it'll take some professionals to find that girl's.."
"ENOUGH! DON'T YOU EVER NO WHEN TO STOP!?!" Julianna is stunned to see her mother so angry. She has never yelled at her before, it was always her father doing the talking, after all he is a business man. Julianna is still stunned but also impressed by her mother's voice. She has never heard her that loud or even that tone of voice.
"You go mom!" Julianna cheers
It's what she wanted. Julianna always tries to get her mother angry on purpose. Practice for when ass holes treated her mother like crap. Mari was confused also very tired.
"Just go to your room Julianna." With a stressed out tone in her voice. Mari and Officer Randy continue their conversation they were planning to have in the first place.Julianna walks off with a grin on her face. To get to Julianna's room you have to pass through the large living room. On the way there Julianna stops in pain. She rubs her temple while groaning.
Mari turns around "Are you okay sweetie?" Mari says concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine." It was that same feeling Julianna had earlier that day. Headache and painful eyes. Julianna ignores it, and continues on through the large living room.
It happens again. Only this time it feels like her eyes are being boiled. Images flash before her eyes, but she can't concentrate due to the fact of the horrific pain she is feeling.
Julianna screeches at the top of her lungs. While grasping her eyes she falls to the floor in pain.
"Julianna! " Her mother and Officer Randy run to her as fast as they could.
"Mom!! My eyes!!!"
"What happened did you get something in them?"
"NO!!!!" Julianna explains while thinking of how stupid her mother could be.
"Well then what is it?!"
"I don't know mom!! They hurt so much it feels like they are burning! !! Do something mom!!!" She cries.
"Okay okay! What do I do!?!" Mari turns to Randy.
"I'll call an ambulance. You stay here with her." Randy explains as he runs back to his cop car.
Julianna let's out a scream enough to fill the whole house.
"Hurry!!" Mari cries.
"They're on there way!"
The pain starts to simmer down along with Julianna's screams.
"Mom?"
"I'm right here baby. Are you feeling better??" Mari asks as she is stunned to see what's in front of her.
Julianna opens back up her eyes, only this time you won't see her dark chocolately brown eyes. You'd see blue colored eyes brighter than the sky.
"Oh my God."
