In the lowest part of a town called Grendale with a population of one thousand people where poverty roamed the streets.The people there were separated,on the southern part which had the wealthy people and on the northern part which had poor people.In the Northern part there was a man who lived with his wife Jen who was pregnant with his twin daughters Tera and Cathy in a small apartment near to the railway station.Life was hard for them,Jen's husband Aiden had to work two jobs ,one as a cashier at a convenient store in the southern side of town and as a part time Marine Life Trainer .He had to work so much that he would mostly be home only for three hours a day.
It was Sunday,Aiden's day off,his wife was happy for him to finally be home and spend time with her,but that was until he was called in to work another shift immediately.He kissed his wife on the forehead and went to prepare for work .By 8am he was all prepared and ready to leave for work but Jen begged him to stay with her but he couldn't ,for it was the only job that paid a fair wage.Despite Jen's struggle and protest ,he left .Jen stood on the front porch and watched Aiden as he disappeared into the dust of the train track.She sat on an old wooden chair yearning to be accepted back into her family who lives in the southern part. But then she looked down at Tera and Cathy smiling but in her mind feeling sad because if she continues to live with Aiden she would not be able to give Tera and Cathy a life that she had and also she fell out of love.Step by step against the creaking floor she went back inside grabbing a paper and pen and started to scribble a letter.

She placed the letter on the dining table and walked up the stairs and into the bedroom.She quickly emptied her drawers and packed a small handbag but then she heard the front door slammed suggesting that it was her friend Ellie who lived next door .As she walked down the stairs at a slow rate she heard a glass shatter in the kitchen so she went back upstairs.Unable to defend herself She picked up a vase from the nightstand in the bedroom and walked down the stairs again.When she entered the living room she could hear a Aiden's and the tumbling of the kitchen drawers.When she saw him she quickly went up to the bedroom and grabbed her back and rushed through the front door.At that same time Aiden began to read the letter when she accidentally slammed the door.Aiden rushed behind her as she ran onto the train track .She stopped there to take a few breaths but Aiden already caught up to her.Whilst Aiden took a few steps towards her ,she took a few steps backward and into the middle of the train track .With the pain in her back Jen could barely move,it was like she was paralyzed .At the same time a train was coming,she managed to get out of the way but then a strange man jumped out of the train,thinking it was a Patrol Officer she called for help desperately and he walked up to her and held a gun to her head saying
"If you scream you DIE!Just give ,me your valuables!"he said angrily
Whilst on the other side Aiden tried to find a way to get to her because the train was passing through. In a split second a gun shot was heard and also a soft scream after. When he got over to her ,her eyes were half closed and she uttered "Ter..a and C..a.thy".He called the ambulance and waited for them to arrive.By the time the ambulance got there,she was already lifeless .When they got to the Hospital ,Jen was rushed into the Delivery room and Aiden was left in the waiting room where he waited desperately,praying for Jen to be okay.A few hours later,A doctor came out looking sad and began to tell Aiden what happened.
"I'm very sorry but we only managed to save one of the twins.Your wife also passed away shortly.We tried every possible way but they didn't make it."
Aiden burst into tears,knowing that he lost everything that day.A few minutes later,a nurse came out holding a baby,it was Cathy.Aiden,who was in a bittersweet moment,held Cathy in his arms as she started to cry.Seeing his baby daughter for the first time in 9 months Aiden smiled back at Cathy but then she was taken away from his arms by the nurse for final check ups .As he waited in the delivery room he reached for his back pocket and took out the letter that Jen left for him and read it once more hoping to get closure for her horrible death.As he read it he began to sob softly ,he never believed that Jen would write this.He never realized his mistakes he made of not spending time with her .He blamed himself for her death.When Cathy was finished with the final checkups she was back in his arms.
