The Day It All Fell Apart

Time flew very fast ,Cathy was already 15 years old,she was a girl who believed in adventures and fairytale but usually a curious girl who asked lots of questions.To keep her from asking too much questions Aiden bought her a book filled with pictures and adventures each year on her birthday, by that time they moved into a bigger house into the southern side of town but the people in the town area would pass around rumors that he shot his wife.Sometimes Cathy would see him crying and talking to himself  saying "its your fault" but when she confronted him he would ignore her questions .Even Cathy would sometimes sit on the swing in the backyard crying because she missed her mother and sister yearning to see her mother but her father would keep the photos hidden thinking that he was protecting her.As she grew bigger,the world got darker and sadder with bullies taunting her because she had no mother or the best clothes like they did.But the bright side she had a friend who was there for her no matter what happened between them even when she was bullied by the seniors because she had no mother nor the perfect clothes and house.All that mattered most to her was her father,the only bit of family she has.His name was Alex ,also her neighbor,he was tall with green eyes and short blonde hair of 16.He was a boy that was anti-social but mostly wholehearted and kind but they had one thing in common for they both lost one of their parent to a murder.

It was a the first day of summer vacation. Aiden headed out to work whilst Cathy stood on the porch with  a novel in her hand but she was busy admiring how the sun shunned upon the flowers.

"Hey Cathy!"Alex said as he waved at Cathy *smiling*

"Hi Alex,How are you?"Cathy said

"I'm fine do you want to spend the summer with my family and i ?"*he said with a smile*

"I don't really think its a good idea"Cathy said *shrugs*

"It's going to be fun besides what are you going to do that's more fun than this"

"Fine i'll go,but i'm not doing your summer homework for you"

"Deal,Thank you"*kisses Cathy's cheek and leaves in a rush*"I'll be right back"

Cathy got up blushing for Alex never came that close to her.She walked down the stairs and into the yard heading to the lake in front of Alex's house.She sat on the shore soaking her feet into the lake.

"Cathy i'm back!"Alex said approaching Cathy

"What do you want Alex?"she said 

"Nothing,Do you want to go over to my place?"

*Cathy's phone rings*Cathy quickly answered thinking that its her father calling to check on her .

"Hello"

Alex looked at Cathy as she started to cry ,accidentally dropping her phone into the lake.

"What wrong Cathy"Alex said as her held her close.

"He's dead......"
