"The brief said terrorist. You want to start explaining this?"

"If I told you, would you believe me?" Rick asked. I narrowed my eyes and walked over to Grant hesitantly but eventually sliding his hand into mine, locking our fingers together.

" what are they?" Harley asked

"I don't know" Rick said

"That's bullshit" Floyd said narrowing his eyes "thing has on a $3,000 watch. Is that a person?" Floyd asked

"Those ones were already dead" I said gaining their attention.

"How do you know?" Floyd asked

"Their hearts weren't beating." I said wiping my mouth on my sleeve feeling some gook at the corner of my mouth before hearing Floyd and Rick talking with each other. Grant looked to me and with his thumb wipe off a drip of the black food from the corner of my mouth making me blush deeply.

"There" he whispered making me shutter. I shook my head and turned back into the conversation

"It was human. Now it's not" he said about to walk away, but he stopped seeing Digger about to take the watch from the dead man's body. "Don't!"

"Why not?" Digger asked getting all up in Ricks face

"Because we have a job to do" Rick said as Scales began to growl "we're moving" he said before turning to Grant who's hand was still clasped in mine. "Get your boys moving" grant looked back at his crew and nodded reluctantly letting go of my hand and walking past Rick.

"Let's go" he said softly as his boys followed him leading us forward. We walked for about 10 minutes before I saw Harley eyeing an approaching store window. I covered my ears and chuckled lowly when she swung her bat and broke the windows making all of the armed men turn their gun on her. She reached into the window and grabbed a silver sparkly purse. I rolled my eyes and watch Ricks expression.

"Seriously? The hell is wrong with you people?" Rick asked

"We're bad guys, it's what we do" Harley said quickly. I winced and shook my head. I made eye contact with Grant who was close to the front of the group. I nodded me forward so I speed up a little so I could walk with him.

"I saw your face when she said bad guys. Are you okay?" He asked quietly so no one would hear him.

"I left that life behind me a long time ago. It was because of my abilities I was even taken in the first place and made into the monster I became, I could have been good from the start you know. It wasn't until I was rescued by the Avengers that I got out of it, and even so it took me so long to recover" I whispered.

"I know for a fact, you weren't guilty for what they threw you in jail for. Rick and I went behind Wallers and Argus's back to send the Avengers the real tape from the attack and the fake one so they could free you. You don't deserve to be locked up when you could actually do good" he said making me look at him in shock,

"Thank you" I whispered fleeing a tear drip from my eyes. He didn't know I wasn't planning on going back to the jail. I can't stand another beating. Once this ends I'm ripping the bomb from my neck and leaving, with or without him, even if I have to feel the pain of the broken bond.

Soon enough we approached a vantage point where we could see the tall high rise building where we were supposed to go. Rick paced to the front and said

"Take a knee" which we all did. He pointed and said "our body is at the top of that building. All we have to do is pull them out of the vault they're hiding in. Helps extract us off the roof, it's miller time."
