A Chance at Love ( One Direction Fan Fic)

Chapter 6

Serena's POV

Sarah seemed kind of upset when we were in the car. I wonder whats wrong. My best friend who is usually always happy is down in the dumps. I need to find out whats wrong. "Okay your usually never like this. Whats wrong?" I asked.

She sighed and began to tell me everything. She told me about how she thought Zayn liked her. She told me about the other night where she thought he was going to kiss her.Then she finally told me that she has feelings for him. Oh My God. My best friend is falling for the One Direction "Bad Boy"! What am I going to do! I guess I could go and ask Zayn ifhe does like her back.

"Serena you have to promise not to tell anyone. Especially Zayn. Nothing. Promise?" she asked me. Great.

"Your secret is safe with me".I said. We got to the spa and enjoyed our day. When we went to get massages. I finished an Hour before Sarah. "Sorry. I was really tense I guess."she said with a sleepy smile. "I kind of took a nap during it to." We laughed and finished our spa day. When we got home all the guys were in the kitchen making dinner. It smelt great. They came up and gave us hugs. Sarah and I were walking through the kitchen smelling all the delicious food.

"GET OUT OF OUR KITCHEN!" Harry yelled jokingly. Sarah and i got out of the kitchen and we went to watch T.V. until it was time to eat. All the guys, except for Harry, came out and sat with us.Louis came and sat wit me, Niall and Liam sat on the floor, and Zayn managed to get his legs underneath Sarah's head on the couch.

Sarah's POV

While Serena and I were watching T.V. all the guys were kicked out of the kitchen by Harry. They all came and sat with us and Zayn came over to sit with me again. I was still upset. I tried my best to act as normal as possible. As we sat there i noticed that he seemed a little tense. I wonder whats wrong. 

Harry came out of the kitchen and announced that dinner was ready. The table was all set and we all sat and ate dinner. I tried to avoid sitting next to zayn, but he somehow managed to get a seat next to me. He passed me a note under the table. What are we? Thirteen? I unfolded the note and read it:

Zayn:Can we talk after dinner. he scribbled on the note with the pen. I scribbled on it and passed it back. We went back and fourth a couple times.

Me:Why??

Zayn: I just need to talk to you. Please?

Me: Fine. Where?

Zayn: I think we need to get out of the house. Maybe go to get some frozen yogurt?

Me:FIne, but your paying ;)

Zayn:Hahahaa, Okay.

We stopped passing notes after that and finished and enjoyed our dinners. But i couldnt stop thinking about what Zayn wanted to talk to me about. After dinner we all cleaned the table together. Harry decided to sneak away and hide until we were done. We all finished cleaning the kitchen and walked out to living room and ast for a bit. About ten minutes later Zayn and I left. We got in the car and drove away. It was a very silent and awkward ride. I thoughthe wanted to talk to.Maybe he is saving it for when we get our yogurt?

Zayn's POV

We got to the frozen yogurt place and ordered. We sat down and began eating. It was still silent between Sarah and I. She then opened her mouth and broke the silence.

"So you wanted to talk to me about something?" she asked trying to break the awkward silence. 

"Yeah. Im sorry. Im just trying to figure out how to tell you." I said embarassed.

"Zayn dont be scared to tell me anything." she said with a warm smile.

"You know how the other night when we were sitting by the fire?" i asked "And how what I said before we went to bed?"

"Yeah." she said confused.

"Well whatI said wasnt what I wanted to say at all. I just was to scared to tell you, and i still am a little nervous to tell you. Sarah promise me that what Im going to tell you right now wont ruin our friendship is things dont turn out right." i said

"I promise."she whispered

"Sarah I--" 

"Hold that Zayn. Please help me out for a minute. That guy right there who is about to walk in is one of my ex-boyfriends. Just follow my lead please." she said desperately.

"Okay" i said. "Whats his name?"

"Alex. Okay okay. He is coming in." she said panicked.

"S-Sarah? Is that you?" Alex asked.

"Alex! What are you doing here? How are you?" she asked in a lame excited voice.

"Im great. Thanks. Im waiting for my girlfriend. Arey ou dating?" he asked.

"Yes I am. This is Zayn. My boyfriend." she said confidently. Wait. Did she say "Boyfriend"? She said boyfriend. I wish I really was her boyfriend. And I wish I could actually tell her how i felt right now.

I shook Alex's hand and then his girlfriend came walking in. Sarah and I walked out to the car her arm wrapped around my waist and mine on her shoulders. "Okay you were saying." she said with a smile as she leaned against the car.

"Sarah I have only known you for a few days, but I- I love you" i finally said. I said it! I finally said it!

She stood there with a shocked look on her face. The shocked look on her face turned into a smile. She wrappedherarms around my neck and kissed me. Her lips were warm and soft. The kiss lingered on, and I loved every minute of it. 

When she pulled away she said "I love you to." right then my lips crashed back onto hers. I finally told how she feels and she feels the same about me. Yes! As we were kissing I could see Alex walking out of the yogurt shop and looking extremely jealous.

Sarah's POV

He Loves me? HE LOVES ME! Zayn actually said he loves me. My lips crashed into his. We stood there for a long time, lips pressed together. When I pulled away I told him that I loved him also. He crashed his lips against mine and everythign was perfect right there. He took my keys and got into the car. I climbed in and he began driving. He wasnt heading home though. We pulled into a parking lot. We were in the park parking lot. He took my hand and pulled me close. 

"I have a suprise." he whispered. He walked me to a large blanket with a couple of laterns for light, two sleeping bags next to each other, and some pillows.

"Did you do all of this?" i asked amazed

"I had Louis come and set it up for me. Do you want to stay here for the night...with me?" he asked.

"Yes!" I said excitedly. We then laid down together. I snuggled with him. he had his arm around me. We talked and talked and talked most of the night. I found out that we shared the same birthday and so much more. Everything was perfect. Nothing could ruin it. Nothing.
