Deemo

That small secret

Kumiko was outside with Deemo. They were walking together through a beautiful forest. Many dashing flowers and tremendous animals. A small cat jumped on Kumiko's shoulder. It then went on Deemo's. He was frightened for a moment but the he reached out and pet the cat softly. Animals usually feared Deemo, but this cat loved him. While Deemo was petting the cat, Kumiko fell on her knees. She coughed and fainted. Deemo got very worried and picked up Kumiko. He ran home and laid her down on her bed. Weeks later, Kumiko had gotten worse. Deemo looked at her. "Deemo...wanna hear a secret..." She spoke. Her voice weak and hushed. Deemo nodded and Kumiko spoke. "I am a broken angel. My wings have been broken and I've become sick" Deemo sadden and watched as the color faded from Kumiko's lips. He held her hand. Kumiko slowly closed her eyes and slept forever. Deemo had lost his angel. His only friend. His special gift.
