I stared at the tv blankly there was nothing on just static... It's always been static all my life just static and empty rooms with white walls. I've grown so used to it by now when they turned the tv off I'd scream until they'd turn it on or even all night not stopping. Even if my lungs and throat felt like I've scraped sandpaper down it or even lost all of my breath. I have always been alone in here... Except for one friend that'd visit me ever so, we'd watch the static together and even play or draw together. We'd sing and dance oh how much fun we have.

They have given me comfort and warmth when needed. But their breath felt cold against my ear when they spoke to me in a hushed tone. Yet something about it had always given a comforting feeling of safety in some odd sort. Until one day I woke up to complete silence I began to wail and howl until they came and comforted me with soft words and a warm embrace. They said to come with them after while thou promising we could be together forever it'd never be silent oh so silent to the point my ears would never ring. Promising warmth saying they'd even tell me their name.

It sounded wonderful so I agreed, they held out their hand to me when I touched was hot as if you were sitting in front of a fireplace and how its warmth smothers from the cold. We left together making small talk of little things. They even told me their name and I shared mine. We were Death and Akuji... They were the lovely man of the dead he guided us and I guess I finally realized it was his time to guide me.

Hey, I rewrote this I'm a bit unhappy with the ending but I love the rewritten version much much more!! And fun fact Akuji means Dead and awake I really loved the name and so I made it in the original it had much of a purpose it still does but ill leave that for you to figure out! AND WHAT'S THIS I used gender-neutral term the whole time and revealed it at the end I like how it played out!
