riverdale season 3; what we know so far

despite season 2 only just airing the finale on netflix, earlier this week, the riverdale cast are already back and have begun filming season 3 which is set to air october 10th, this year.

as soon as the hit show got renewed, several cast members took to their social media to announce the news, but fans noticed that both charles melton and charlotte swan were missing from the picture.

charles melton cleared up his absence by tweeting that he will be back and making a lot more appearances than he did in the previous season, but we are yet to hear whether swan will also be making a return.

throughout the filming of season 2, charlotte swan caused quite a stir on and off screen before quitting the show halfway through due to her split with co star, kj apa, leaving the producers no choice but to recast the role.

despite swan and apa getting back together and having a baby together, perhaps the producers don't want to take a risk on the reliability of charlotte swan and they've decided cut the role of kourtney humphries. or maybe charlotte has decided to become a full time mom as she seems to have taken a break from singing and modelling too. only time will tell.
