I woke up later that same morning, in my bed. I looked out the window and into the far paddock, but something was blocking my sight. My truck. The truck that I had driven out to the far paddock where I was knocked over by that wonderful figure. I was so confused, when suddenly I heard rustling from just outside my bedroom.
I jumped out of bed and snuck out the back door to find a small animal rustling around in the rose bush. I picked a stick and moved the thorny, green stalks to a side to find that it was a small animal. A Husky. I looked at him and waited for him to look up. The mutt rolled over and landed on his bare belly, looking up at me. I smiled and then remembered my lost friend.
I tapped on my knee a couple of times and whistled to the puppy. He struggled to stand, and then crawled over to me. I pet his head and slowly put my hand next to him, waiting for permission to pick him up. Looking into his deep eyes, I swear I saw someone I knew. A vision perhaps. Or maybe just my crazy imagination.
The small, soft creature crawled up onto my hand and looked into my eyes. A feeling of happiness came over me and I knew that I needed to do something to make sure that it only got better. As the innocent little animal starred into my eyes rain started to fall, so I took him inside and sat him next to the flameless fireplace.
I looked out into the far paddock again, thinking that I should go and examine the scene from the strange happenings that same morning. I went to my room, picked up the rifle that lay in the corner of my room and the hunting knife on the table next to it. When I turned around I found that the little animal had found his way to my bedroom and was at the doorway.
"we'd best give you a name huh?" I said to the animal.
He looked around and let out a miniature bark, as if he were trying to say yes. So I picked him up and went out to the truck. While driving up the long dirt road, he watched me, and I watched him. He made me laugh.
I examined his fur, his structure and his daisy blue eyes. He layed down which revealed a pattern in his fur that reminded me of the ring that my brother used to wear. It was the shape of a bird, I looked at him and said, "what about falcon?"
The small canine jumped up, wagging his tail and letting out multiple little barks. As we approached the intersecting gates, I locked the doors of the truck and held my knife close to me with my rifle sitting with the dog. With great care, I snuck up to the gate and looked around. Nothing. There was no girl, no dead man in black and no Bailey. By now I was quite concerned, I was scared. There was a woman off somewhere, possibly hurt and two missing dead bodies, which could not be a good sign.
Falcon was looking around, when he suddenly started to growl. A strong stance had come over him. This was not the dog I had found earlier that morning. This dog's coat started to change colour, with smoke coming off his back. It was now that I saw the bird like fur print change to an electronic yellow colour, sparks coming from what looked like the wings. I was so scared. What was happening to me? This couldn't be happening!
