Pacing back and forth in front of the icu where the doctors took husna, breathing heavily pulling his hair in frustration. It's been 30minutes and the doctors still didn't say anything.

Where's she? Where's my daughter... he heard Hajiya Hindu's voice crying running towards him.
Calm down mami, she'd be fine, please...mahbub whispered holding Hindu's shoulders.

What happened to my daughter mahbub? Is she ok? Sabrina asked tears streaming out of her eyes.

Amor she'll be fine, insha Allah...he whispered swallowing a big lump that gathered in his throat. He felt his heart ripping off, he just couldn't imagine life without Asmau, not when he's too attached to her.

Zahra had been crying since when she heard the news, daddy tried all his possible best before she finally stopped crying.

Mr mahbub! The doctor that just came out of the icu said.
Yes, is she fine? Mahbub quickly asked while the doctor just smiled before telling mahbub to follow him to his office, and so he did.

You have nothing to worry about, she's fine, she just had a little heart attack but we've been able to treat it. I'll just advise you on one thing, don't let her panic that much again, it would be worse, she needs to rest and clear her head off things, she probably heard a bad news, try and ask her if she wants to talk about it, it would make her feel better...
The doctor explains.

Bad news? Heart attack? He asked himself confused about everything.
Is she awake? Can I see her? He asked instead.

She's not, but she'll be any moment from now, and yes you can go and see her...the doctor said with a small smile.
Thank you so much doctor...mahbub said before quickly walking out of the office.

What did he say? What happened to her? Hajiya hindu asked holding mahbub's hands.
It's just a heart attack mami, don't worry, we can go see her now...he blurted out his head low.

What? Nide hindu nashiga uku, first husna missing and now Asmau...she cried out placing her two hands on top of her head.

What? Mahbub, zahra, sabrina and engineer mahbub shouted.
Husna missing? Mahbub asked his eyes wide like saucer.
For how long ? He added.

It's been a week now, nide na shiga uku, I don't know what to do... she cried resting her head on Gen Omar's chest.

1 week...mahbub muttered under his breath.
Let's go see her, we'll talk about this later.. Gen omar said walking towards the room.

Mahbub sat on the stool close to husna's bed before gently placing his hand on hers. Looking at her swollen face, he smiled faintly tracing her well shaped brows with his finger.

Wake up my love...please...he whispered to her rubbing her silky hair.
Wake up and tell me what's wrong with you, you've not been yourself for a while and now this...he added.

Asmau, Asma, Asma...please tell me it's a lie please, tell me they're lying to me please.... husna shouted clutching at mahbub's shirt.
They all rushed to her trying to calm her down but mahbub has already zoomed off to another world, she's calling Asma, that means she isn't Asma or what?

What are you talking about Asma? You supposed to ask of husna... Gen omar said holding her arms firmly to keep her still.

Is she dead? Gone? Forever? I won't see my Asma again? But she promised to come back daddy, she promised to take care of herself, she promised me....husna shouted crying woefully.

Asmau is it the sickness that's making you insane or what? What's wrong with you...Hajiya hindu shouted.

Husna closed her eyes tightly for some seconds before finally opening it, she looked straight into mahbub's red eyes hot tears rolling on her cheeks.

She's dead, your wife is dead, my twin sister...she silently said walking towards him. Everyone was confused as they stared at her as if she'd grown two heads.

Go and call the doctor zahra, she's not herself... eng.mahbub ordered and husna quickly turned around.
I'm perfectly fine boss, all I'm saying here is nothing but the truth, just listen to me and believe me...she shouted throwing her hands up.

She walked slowly to where mahbub was standing like a statue and got on her knees.
Brother in law, forgive me so I can be able to forgive myself, maybe I can live if you forgive me, please...she cried holding mahbub's legs.

He stood immobile on the spot unable to utter anything.
Just explain things to us and stop acting this drama husna or Asmau whoever you are....Gen omar yelled his voice laced with anger.

Mami please forgive me, I lied to you, I swear, please mami forgive me...she cried turning to where hindu was standing.

Explain...she said almost like a whisper hot tears streaming down on her cheeks.

You all know how I love my sister, you all know she's the only sister I have in this world, mami and daddy you know how I always sacrifice my happiness just to bring a smile on Asmau's face, you know how I can do everything to make my sister happy, but this time around we failed, I fucked up, we both did, I thought it would work out smoothly but I was wrong. I hate seeing her tears, she came to me crying asking for help, she told me she could loose her life because of Farhan. Mami you remember Farhan right? The guy that cheated on her four years back and she had to spend 2 weeks on the hospital bed? She stopped quietly observing Hajiya Hindu's face.

Hajiya hindu just nodded slightly unable to talk.
That's him, he came back to her life, he's the only person she loves, deeply. He told her they were traveling to Lagos to see his parents and if not, he wouldn't be able to marry her, she was depressed and dehydrated because she couldn't afford to lose him again, she loves him. She came to me crying telling me to help her, I should be "her" mahbub's wife, for a week... she stopped before looking at mahbub's face but his face was emotionless while the rest of them gasped.

I had no option than to do it because of the love i have for my sister, I know she can die because of that Farhan guy, I don't want what happened the last four years to happen again, I was scared, that's why I lied to mami I was going to haula's house to spend 1 week.

I lied... all this 1 week, I spent it with mahbub..she said this part in a lower tone.
She's supposed to be back by 3:00pm, today. She called me around 2:40pm and told me they've landed safely and on her way home. I waited for her but she wasn't still back, I tried calling her 50times no answer and just when I was about to go check her up,someone called me, telling me she had an accident on her way home, but I know that's not true....she yelled crashing on the floor crying her eyes out.

I knew it, yea...I did..I knew it! I hate you husna, I hate you and i wish you can disappear right now...he whispered.
The fact that his vision had blurred and he felt very unbalanced all of a sudden, his breath had hitched in his throat.

He was aware of his parent and zahra calling his name, but he had no time to register as he allowed his knees to crash to the floor before he blanked out.

All these years, since I brought you two to this world, I've never trusted anyone in my life like I do to you. You break my heart husna, I trusted you... Hajiya Hindu whispered but loud enough for her to hear leaning against the hand Gen omar put on her back for support.

Mami please....husna cried out holding her legs.
I warned her, I warned her not to try anything stupid, I thought she'd change, I don't see husna's fault here, it's all Asma's. Gen omar said staring blankly at the wall.

2 doctors came in and quickly push mahbub into the icu.
Is she really dead? Sabrina asked no one in particular.

Yes she is! They heard a deed husky voice and they all turned to look at the owner of the voice who was standing by the door.

Asmau is dead! He added.
