She took the camera and went to the kitchen. Taking a picture of the Muffins in the oven.

"Good evening Sir. I am Roxie, i'll be your server for tonight. Would you follow me please." I try to ignore the fact that Kai is staring at me. As i walk to the table followed by the Family Kai walks a few centimeters behind me. "Hi, Roxie. Nice to see you again. Are you waorking here?" he asks just as we reach the table. "Hey, ehm yeah I do. NIce to see you too."

"So you guys know each other ?" the Woman asks and smiles at her son. "Yes Mother, I met her in the camera shop in town." She smiles proudly and Looks at me. "Hello, i am Melanie Bear. Kais mother and this is Joey Bear." They introduce themselves and I shake there hands still in shook about what is happening. "It's nice to meet you," I said, noting that my boss was watching me from a distance. He looked pissed off. So I immediately did my work by showing the Bear family their table. They sat down and I brought them the menus.

As I ran into the kitchen, my boss stormed in and started snorting at me. "What in the world was that, are you there to make friends with our guests or to do your job?" He asked hysterically. "Boss they introduced themselves because I met their son." I made sure and tried not to freak out. Every time this man has to go on my nerves. I did my job but despite everything, he always found something to complain about. "Go back to your work," he grinned and left the kitchen.

I looked at Big Mikey, our cook. He was a slightly older man, Italian in his mid 50s. We called him that because he said it was his nickname.

Big Mikey looked at me reassuringly. "Do not worry about it R0, you know how he is," he said and got back to work.

I went back to the table were the Bear family was sitting, to take their order. "Can i take your order? What would you like to start with? " I asked. "Now what could you recommend us?" The father smiled and looked up from the map to me. "Our stake, number 44 on the map. Depending on how you would like to eat it. "I said with a proud smile and noticed Kai looking at me. "Kai it seems like someone has the same taste as you:" his mother grinned and I started blushing a little.

"Well, then I would have the number 44. In addition, the best red wine you have,"the father ordered. Kai took the same and the mother ordered a salad with chicken breast.

I passed the order to the kitchen and served the family our best red wine. Kai watched me while I filled the wine glasses. I gave him the coke he ordered.

During my evening shift many guests came so I had to take care of many tables. The Bear family stayed long, first they ate and then they ordered the dessert. I often noticed Kai's eyes on me. Too often. It bothered me at work. He made me nervous. And why does he look so good?

After about two hours the father asked for the bill and I brought them the little box with the amount.

After they got up I went to their table. They said goodbye to me and Kai's mother thanked me again for everything. When Kai shook my hand, I noticed him putting something in my hand. I clenched my hand into a fist so as not to let it fall. When they disappeared from the door, I opened my fist and and saw a small crumpled sheet of paper. It was the bill. I turned it over and saw that he had written something on it.

A phone number and a short sentence "I hope you'll call."

Did he just leave me a phone number in front of his parents?

I blushed and hid the crumpled phone number in my pocket. Then I took the box and checked to see if everything was right.

They left me $ 30. Wow 30 dollars, I could hardly believe my eyes. Most of what they leave people here is just half of it.

I finished my shift and walked home. Totally exhausted I dropped onto my bed when I remembered that I still had his number in my pocket. I took it out and looked at it for a minute.

Will I call him? Should I call him? Many questions crossed my mind before I fell asleep unintentionally in jeans and a shirt.
