"Smile little butterfly." the little girl says loudly and smiling, while she holds the camera.

Just as she pushed the button and the camera flash went on, the butterfly flew away.

The little girl ran to her grandpa to show him her first picture she took.

"This is a beautiful picture" , her granddad laughed and the girl got a smile on her face.

Roxies POV

I still remember that day, as if it was yesterday. But in reality it is 14 years ago.

I was four in that time. I love my grandfather so much and i miss him even more.

When i look at the picture in my hand, i feel a tear escaping my eye. He didn't tell me what an awful picture i shot of that butterfly back in that time.

I mean, of course i was a little girl and it was hard to push that button of that old camera.
But i tried my best, well at least i got half of her wings before she flew away.

Stupid butterfly, couldn't you just wait for me to take a good picture.

I put the pic of the half butterfly in my album and go straight down to the kitchen.
I woke up a few minutes ago and saw that a few pictures were still lying on my table.

And as always i got lost in the memories of them.

"Hi Mom." i greet her and she looks up of her coffee mug and gives me a smile.

"Well good afternoon honey."

I look at the clock on the wall. Already 12 pm.

"You worked hard yesterday didn't you?"

"Yes, there were plenty of guests."
I was working in a cafe in our town. It was the only cafe that we have though. This is a little town with 287 citizens.
So everyone knows everyone and since Max cafe is the only one here it is always full.

There is so much work, mostly on saturdays, like yesterday.
But i have to save a lot of money to go to a university and out of here.

"Lost in your thoughts again?" my mother asks me and takes my attention.
"As always." i laugh.

"Come on eat something and go change."

"Why?"

"I need to buy something for the house and you can go to your favourite shop and do a little shopping." i smile and thank her.

*~*

"Mom hurry up." i yell from downstairs.
She is still getting ready, although she was the one who went upstairs before me.

I mean whose mother needs more time than her daughter.

"I wait for you in the car!" I take the keys and sit on the driver seat.

After five more minutes, our glamorous looking mother, takes the seat next to me.

"As always, you won't let me drive."

I smile and start the engine. Since i got my license, i am the one driving most of time.
I just love to sit in the car and drive around for hours.

We don't visit the city often, so i am very pleased if i drive there because it takes time, since we live in the middle of nowhere.

I turn the radio on and the music starts playing.
I immediately sing along.

It's been a while since the two of us talked
About a week since the day that you walked

Knowing things would never be the same
With your empty heart and mine full of pain

So explain to me, how it came to this
Take it back to the night we kissed

My absolute favourite song. The Script knows how to make music.

I sang along to every song that came up and my mom tried to do so too, sometimes.

"We meet here again in three hours. That should be enough time for me to get everything. After that we can go and eat dinner in your favourite restaurant."
i nod and we go our separate ways, to different shops.
