Kill or Die

Chapter 2

Jay's P.O.V
10:25pm
     Tonight's the night. I'm breaking out of here tonight. I heard a weird noise in the living room. I opened the door and it was pitch black. I looked at the TV screen. I picked the lock of the room door, and I left my room. The hallway lights were off. Each room for the producer was glowing red for the doors I can't open and glowing green for the doors that I could open. I heard yelling. I saw a guard. I hid, and I saw them taking a girl.
     "HELPPPP!! LET GO OF ME!!" Shouted the girl. They covered her mouth and electrocuted her. Hearing her scream, it was really upsetting. I had to do something, but it was too late. They had already taken her in a room. Poor girl. She looks really young, like around 16. I went back to my room, only because I know when they have to electrocute someone they usually have more guards on watch. Guess I'm not escaping tonight.
     I sat down on the floor. Next to my bed.
     "I hope that girl is ok." I whispered to myself. I got up and took another shower. That's really the only thing I can do. I heard a voice. Someone yelling. It sounded like the girl.
     "HELPPP, PLEASE HELPPP MEEE, GET ME OUT OF HERE!!" The voice yelled. I got dressed and sat near the wall.
     "Hello." I said. All I heard were sobs. "Are you alright?"
     "I don't talk to strangers."The girl said. She had a soft voice. The walls are thin. I could hear her clearly.
"Well you're talking to me now." I said.
"Leave me alone please." The girl said as she continued screaming.
     "Don't bother screaming. No one's gonna find you." I said.
     "Yea, maybe my mom will come find me." The girl said.
     "Mom?" I asked.
     "Yea my mom, she'll know I'm missing when she gets off from work and see that I'm not home." The girl said.
      "Oh." I said.
      "Your mom hasn't come and saved you." The girl asked.
      "No, my mom died." I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." The girl said.
"Don't be, it was a while ago." I said. "How did they get you?" I asked.
"I don't know, I went over to my friend's house to get my jacket and next thing you know, I'm here." The girl said.
"Oh." I said.
"How did they get you?" She asked.
"I was trying to save my wife, they took her while she was on FaceTime with me. Seeing her get taken, never mind. I don't even know if she's alive." I said.
"Wife?" She asked.
"Yea, we been married for 8 years." I said.
"Wow, that's cool. To have someone love you." She said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Never mind. I'm going to sleep. Good night stranger." The girl said.
"Good night."
