"Morning New Haven High we will have homeroom today!" Blasted through the intercom.

"Where's homeroom at," Remington asked while following like a baby duck.

I just walk up the three flights of stairs and to the left to get to homeroom. I sit in the far back while he sits next to me

— bell rings —

"Ok seniors one of our trips is to Canada for a week we're handing out the papers now. Even if your 18 we need a parents signature no ifs ands or buts!"

I just sign the paper since I don't have parents. Soon enough they dismiss us.

"Are you going?" Remington asked

I just shook my head yes and handed in the paper

"Raven, you did hear we need a parent signature?" The teacher asked

"You did hear I don't have parents right?" I asked sarcastically.

"Oh sorry, I forgot."

I just walked out and went on with school. About an hour later Remington asked why I didn't have parents, I was a little harsh with my reply. But I just told him to mind his own business. The rest of the day was hell it seemed like everyone was in my mind. After school I went to Mrs.A to talk with her, I knock on the door. She looks up and smiles getting up to give me a hug and I walk up to her. I shut the door to show we are busy. After the hug, I sit down in my chair next to her desk she never moves me just everyone else.

"I need to talk to you."

"What about Raven?"

"Remington wants to know my background about my parents, I don't know how to handle it."

She looks down thinking.

"Well, how do you wanna approach it Rav?"

"I don't know that's the thing."

"Well then let me think and while I do that can you go get some drinks?"

I nod my head as she hands me two dollars and I head down to the teacher lounge everyone here knows not to bother me so no one asks questions anymore. I got her a lemon tea and me a smart water and head back to the classroom. As I get to the classroom I hear her talking to someone but I didn't know what they were talking about till I got a little closer.

"Remington that's for her to tell you and not me."

I walk into state "if it's about my parents you can tell the story better than anyone."
