Recap
While having a pale face, I asked her, "Are we safe?" She said in a softer and gentle tone, "We are at least safe for now." I think she was trying to ease my fear and anxiety. But how was I supposed to meet up with Mumei chan and Ikoma and everyone else. After Nagi gently guided me back inside the room she told me, "What are you going to do now?"Chapter 4
Kajika's POV
I was taken back at her question. I didn't know what to do since I was outside in an unknown place and outside of a protective wall. The moment I tried to find the others I would probably be attacked by the kabane. What can I do in this situation? "I-I don't know..." I anxiously said to Nagi. After I said that Nagi looked pretty worried about my expression. Nagi then sighed and said, "You don't have to worry or be scared too much. It's not like I'm going to throw you out of here straight away." I was relieved by her statement but I was still unsure of what to do. "Do you believe in the people who rode the same train?" Nagi asked but I didn't understand what she meant by it and only stared at her. She sighed again and said, "Do you think your crewmates are going to come back for you?" "I think they will!" I said enthusiastically and determined.Nagi's POV
She answered to my question very enthusiastically which was very surprising. I mean most people wouldn't bother coming back for someone who fell off the train since it is highly likely for them to die by the hands of kabane. But it's obvious they won't come back for at least few days. I mean they would have to go all the way to the next village and come back after they have enough resources. It would probably at least take more than a week. Haaa... Am I supposed to be taking of her until they come? First of all I can't exactly tell when they are going to come back so does that mean I have to go near the rails literally every single day? Are they even going to come back for her? Oh my God. This is tiring me out a lot. I just couldn't leave her there when there was an army of kabane so I took her with me but I didn't think it was going to be this much of a problem. I should probably let her sit down in the room since she looks tired. "For now just go back inside and sit down. You look exhausted. If you want to go back to your friends, you should at least preserve some energy."Kajika's POV
After Nagi suggested to go back to the room to rest, I was feeling slightly happy that she was thinking about me and knew that she is a very kind person. However, when I went back to the room I was deep in my thoughts since it was true that I didn't know how I'm going back to my friends. I was also curious as to why Nagi was out here in danger and by herself. On Koutetsujou~
Narrator's POV
Ikoma and the others were having a meeting to discuss about Kajika. (I'm going to change the writing style a little bit just for this scene. Sorry if it's confusing.)
Ayame: We have to go back and save Kajika san!
Kurusu: But Ayame sama! I believe it's too late now with all of that kabane swarming that area...
Mumei: We should at least check!
Kurusu: Our resources are nearly gone! We have to restock! We don't have enough to fight back against the kabane even if we did find her!
Yukina: Are we going or not!? We are nearly at the split!
Ayame: Yukina san, please go back!
Kurusu: Ayame sama!
Ikoma: It's okay! Me and Mumei would handle most of them! We can do it!
Yukina: We're going back now!Author's Note
I'm sorry about how Kurusu sounds like a jerk but he's just really over protective about Ayame! He's actually not a jerk!
