Shuffling through the crowds of people, across the small sidewalk that was winding throughout the grey urban jungle. Even though he was shorter than the crowd he could still see it, the bare support beams, the rusting metal, all the edges and angles of the worn down architecture. He stared at what was once a beautiful building with amazing architecture and filled with so many people you would wonder how they all fit. But like all good things it had to come to an end, the architecture became worn down, bits of stone began shedding off and the people moved on to the next big thing almost as if the building didn't exist.
But he saw it was more than that, he saw it as not a building of the past but as a beauty of the past; a place where he could go to escape but not by himself but with Mia, his Mia. He could not yet make out a face but he knew exactly who it was, a yellow sweater at least three sizes too big hanging to mid thigh, green emerald eyes sparkling like stars, all topped off with a mop of bronze curls probably unbrushed. That was his Mia.
Before he could say a word his hand was clasped together with Mia's and was being lead up the stairs of the abandoned building. Through the large room where the only light was the dim light of the city shone through the shattered glass windows and the hallways filled with the colors, each placed strategically where the artist wanted them. It was amazing that the artist cared enough to bring color to the darkest of places.
Eventually they reached the roof of the building where Mia came to an abrupt stop. When he looked over he saw a large grin spreading across Mia's freckled face and he couldn't help but smile too. He followed Mia's eyes up to the sky where they where high enough to see past all the noise and bustle of the city and past all the light of the other buildings, to see the stars. They where brighter than anything he had ever seen before; they looked like paths leading the way through the universe, guiding all the lost souls and all those who wished to wonder amongst them.
He looked back over to Mia, still smiling up at the sky. Their hands were still clasped together, their fingers still intertwined. He felt a small tug on his telling him to sit down. As they say down he paced a gentle kiss on Mia's freckled forehead pushing back the bronze curls covering it. The lay on their backs eyes angled up at the stars. It was a beautiful science filled with affection and love no amount of words could describe it, but alas it had to be interrupted
"What is Mia short for?" He questioned
"Michal" he replied
"Michal... I like that"
Like I said no words could describe it but yet only one word couldbeautiful
