A long time ago in a nation in africa there was once a village called mofia. In this village was a king and several of his wives who bore him many children. The kings name was kufi, he was a very brave man not afraid of anything, even the people that knew him called him flawless but kufi knew his flaw.
His flaw was a particular woman named Abeza. He could do anything just to please her even if it meant killing, Kufi's love for this woman was intoxicating. This woman was Kufi's first wife out of seven wives. It was the custom; a rich man did not marry only one wife because his wealth was also measured by the amount of wife's he had and the amount of children they bore, talk less of a whole king of the village.
The only problem that the king had was that abeza had no child and she was not happy about it because the wives after her all had a lot of children. The king was determined to make her happy so he used all his power and authority to do so, he consulted all the juju priest(witches) and even tried to make babies with her often but all was to no avail
A day came that abeza finally got pregnant. The king was very happy, he had finally made abeza very happy. But unfortunately Abeza got really ill and at child birth she died. The king could not take it. She was the love of his life, he loved her very dearly. Without her he could not bear leaving again.
He couldn't take the pain any longer So the king decided to pack his belongings and leave the palace and everything with it. He wanted to leave his sorrow behind and everything that brought about the sorrow. So, he ran away and left behind his kingship.
For years the king had disappeared from the village and no man could find him. So, a new king was brought in and the kings family were sent away. And rumors spread that all that had happened to the king and his family was bad luck and it was as a result of the new born child. The child was then called a curse and cursed children in that village were throne into the evil forest where as the people of kufi will say' THE EVIL FOREST OF THE CURSED'.
This cursed child was a girl and the village people didn't waste time to throw her in the evil forest of the cursed. After she was kept in the forest that night, a wealthy man who had heared of all that happened secretly took the little girl from the evil forest and brought her into another village.
