Adieu Cherie

These nights without you are hard.

But i'll get past them,

To wake up to a new day,

And i'll spend my mornings,

Celebrating my body.

I'll fill the depth of my heart with coffee,

I'll walk my legs through places it have never been.

In the afternoons,

I'll dance under the sun,

Painting rainbows in my life.

And if the sun burns me,

I'll be reminded about the ethereal love of ours,

Which was serendipity but no more.

And the evenings will be of lilt,

Even if i'll spend it dressing the scars you left on my unloved heart,

And if i cry in pain,

I'll sing when the tears stroke my cheek and i'm breathless.

Finally when the moon arrives bringing me the night,

I'll go to sleep thinking about all the smiles i painted on your face with the colors of my love.

Adieu Cherie.
