Jinguji Jakurai x reader

I have had a bad fever before, almost reached 40 degrees. This is one shot is actually just what I did at the time, sleep, eat a little, then take meds until I feel better and actually wanted to eat something

I think I could've written it better but it turns out I actually can't lol

Being sick is not fun

It means you have to take your medications regularly, having a headache, your body gets tired easily

But being sick and alone is worse

After hours of getting stuck in the rain, you decided to run back home from the train station. Which is why you got a bad fever after that

How did it get so high when all you did was run through the rain? At first, it was only just a cold. You wonder, never find out the answer

The first night was like hell. After you have a shower, you immediately went to sleep until it's time to take your medications again

At least your boyfriend is a doctor, but he's always busy with his work and you don't want to be a bother to him. So you told him you could take care of yourself. He's still concern about you so he left a little note before he left.

"Don't forget to take your medications and don't skip a meal. There's some leftover in the fridge, you could reheat them. -Jakurai" That's what it says

You open the fridge and reheat the leftover for breakfast. After half an hour of trying to eat as much as you can, you don't feel hungry at all. So you just put the plate in the sink, takes your meds, and went back to bed

...

Waking up in the evening is a pain when you're not feeling so well. It seems like you slept through lunch because nobody is here to wake you up for it, it's not like you were that hungry anyway. Your head is throbbing but you manage to stand up.

"Ow..." your leg decided to not cooperate with you and now you're on the floor, regretting your choice. You should've waited for the rain to stop instead. You stood up and reheat the leftover again before you bring it to the table. Still not wanting to eat what is in the plate

"So lonely" you mumble with croaked voice before grabbing the fork and press it on the food inside the plate. You bring it to your mouth but as you were putting it in, you feel the urge to throw up.

'This is bad' you thought before you fell asleep on the table with the fork still in your hand. Honestly, all you did today is just sleep and take medications, then went back to sleep again

...

After a long day of work, he's finally back home. Only to see his girlfriend fallen asleep on the dining table with a fork in her hand. It seems like [Y/N] hasn't touched anything in her plate

"[Y/N]-kun" The tall man called your name, tapping your shoulder and shaking you a little

"Hnnnn" You let out a groan before you slowly open your eyes

"Ah, you're back," You said in a droopy voice because you're still sleepy

"I'm back"

"Not wanting to eat, are you?" Asks Jakurai as he gently places his hand on your forehead, checking the temperature

"Yeah"

"But you're gonna say that I can't skip a meal, right?" you said quietly since you have a sore throat

"You know me well" he laughs a little as he sits down on the other side of the table

He picks up the fork in your hand and brings the food to your mouth

"Here"

There's question mark appearing in your head as you look in confusion. But decided to follow along anyway

You open your mouth and eat it, feeling like a kid being fed by their mom. It's not as bad as you thought, probably because you started to feel hungry too. Jakurai chuckles a little. His deep voice made you feel a little better somehow

"What are you laughing at?" you mumble. but before you finish, the man in front of you has put the fork at your mouth again. And of course, you obediently eat it. It's not like you have any other choices

"Nothing, It's just that you're cute," says Jakurai, while he keeps feeding you little by little. You can't say that you're not enjoying it. Dinner is better when you have company anyway

Ignoring the fact that you're sick, you try to talk with Jakurai about his works, the territory battle, and etc. even though your voice is droopy and your throat hurts everytime you speak

You might be sick, but not lonely anymore. And that makes the situation a million times better

...

There's nothing left on the plate, you manage to eat everything without throwing up.

'Must be because of Jakurai' A little smile manages to creep on your face as you put the plate away and look for your medicines

"[Y/N]-kun, you must be tired. You should have a shower"

"What about you, have you eat anything yet?" Since he came back, he only has been feeding you and nothing else. You are worried about the busy man. Even though he is a doctor, he doesn't take care of his body that well

"I have eaten, thank you for asking" he smiles at you

"Alright," you said before dragging your body to the shower

Not wasting any time, you throw your body onto the bed and fell asleep immediately. The man looks at you before deciding that he should take a shower too. But before that, he stops at the bed and sits next to you who has already fallen deep asleep

"Being left alone when you're sick must be painfully lonely" He said quietly, not wanting to wake you up

"Goodnight, [Y/N]-kun" His gentle lips press on your forehead lightly, before he went into the bathroom
