Entry 1 - June first, 2032
I've been awake for days, I know I have Insomnia, I was Diagnosed when I was 13. I'm 23, now. I've been dealing with this for the last ten years, and I'm still not entirely used to it, but, as of late, I haven't gotten even a second of sleep for the last five days, and I feel as though I could stay awake forever, but realistically I should be nodding off. I'm not. I may be energized from all the coffee I've been drinking, but that usually doesn't do.... this. I've never been able to stay up for multiple days like this, and I'm beginning to fear for my mental health, I've heard of people completely losing their minds and developing schizophrenia after being awake for multiple days and nights at once. I have my medicine, but that hasn't been helping, I've scheduled an appointment with my doctor for tomorrow, maybe I finally need a stronger dose? Anyway, I should probably introduce myself now. My name is Cass, I'm a 23-year-old junior in college, I'm currently studying graphic design and game design. Sometimes I look at my Insomnia as a plus, knowing I can't sleep motivates me to work on things that I'm behind on, as well as personal projects. I don't have a roommate or any neighbors so I can be as loud as I want, and usually, that helps me focus while working because I like loud music, and I tend to talk to myself when I work. Anyway, I'm gonna go ahead and take a couple of my pills and see if I can sleep... goodnight.
(A/N) Hey everyone!, I hope you like the setup for the new story, this is something I've wanted to try and write about for a long time, Insomnia is extremely interesting to me. while I don't have the "disorder" I'm still intrigued about learning about it. so, with that said, if you or anyone you know has insomnia, I would be extremely grateful if you could share some of your experiences with it and how it affects you. this would help me write my story to a more accurate point. anyway, see in the next chapter! :)
