"Shit." I whispered, rushing out of bed and trying to get dressed rapidly. Liv, however, remained in my bed, very amused by the situation. She was attempting to stifle her laughter but failed miserably.
"What's so funny?" I asked, throwing a shirt on.
"You're acting like a teenage boy whose mum is about to walk in." She laughed.
I rolled my eyes. "Get dressed." I said, half playful half serious, as I threw her dress at her and she caught it.
Getting out of my bed, she gathered her clothes and walked out of my room still completely naked. "Let them in, I'll be out in a minute." She announced, entering the bathroom and closing the door behind her.
Shrugging, I made my way to the front door and let the guys in.
"Hey man, what took you so long?" Damien called as he pushed his way through the door.
I shrugged as the others entered. "I was busy."
"What's more important than us?" Cam joked.
Instead of replying, I began helping Brendon set up the equipment so we could play. Damien grabbed drinks from the fridge and Cam grabbed snacks.
Damien and Cam placed everything on the table as Liv walked out of the bathroom, heels in hand. "Hi." She greeted as she placed her shoes on the floor in front of the sofa.
"I think that answers your question, Cam." Damien smirked.
"Well, I've got a long journey home so I better get going." Liv joked, trying to change the topic.
"Mitch, you should walk her home." Brendon carried on the joke.
Everyone laughed as Liv waved goodbye and we headed to the front door. The two of us were still giggling by the time we reached her door.
"You didn't have to walk me home." She tried to not laugh but she did. The kind of laugh where she covers her face with her hands.
I took her hands and moved them away from her face. I leaned in towards her, placing a kiss on her lips. "Good night."
She smiled. "Good night."
Going back to my apartment, I joined the guys on the sofa. Cam was stuffing his face with crisps, Damien was trying to find something to watch on TV and Brendan was strumming his guitar.
All three of them started laughing. I frowned in confusion. "Nice hickey." Cam explained.
I rolled my eyes, laughing at the fact I'd forgotten about the marks. "Told you you'd know when it happens. All jokes aside, can I tell you all something?" They all stopped whatever it was they were doing and looked at me, waiting for my announcement. "We're dating."
They cheered and laughed and congratulated me. I was happy they liked Liv. I didn't want it to be like last time.
Last time I dated someone, it didn't end well. It didn't start well either, in all honesty. At the end of the relationship, she admitted she only started dating me so she would become more famous.
The relationship didn't last long, and it was miserable. She hardly ever spent time with me and was often seen with other men, probably cheating on me. I would never admit to anyone, but I did have feelings for her, and she did hurt me by doing what she did.
Our break up was pretty hard on me because of this. For her, she was dating another man within a month. For me, I didn't handle it so well. And for a while, I swore off relationships to focus on music and touring.
But with Liv, it's different. I know she'll never use me like that.
