The Trip To New Orleans

I just love that picture! This is my first book so please enjoy! I won't be updating as much with school and homework but I will try my very best.

Caroline's POV

I was washing the dishes after me and my mom had finished dinner. While I was washing the dishes there was a knock at the door that I was going to get but my hands were a little soapy so my mom answered it for me.

"Hello Tyler" Liz smiles at Tyler and moves so he can come in

"Hey Liz, is Caroline here? Tyler asks while he steps inside

"She's in the kitchen" Liz tells him as she goes to her room to give them some privacy

I was able to tell Tyler was walking in the kitchen with my vampire hearing. But so I wouldn't ruin what he had planned I kept washing the dishes until I feel two arms wrap around my waist and I smile a little.

"Hey Ty" I say with a small smile

"Hey Care" Tyler says as he kisses my cheek

"How have you been?" I say trying to make small talk even though I would like to finish the dishes and head to bed

"I've been good how have you been?" He asks clearly not seeing how tired I am or even asking to help

"I've been good" I say getting a little bit more tired minute by minute 

"That's good, so you know how I was planning to take you somewhere special for our 1 year anniversary?" He asks while I finish washing the dishes and start drying them

"Yes I do, why?" I turn around to look at him while I stop drying the dishes

"Well I was thinking me and you could go to New Orleans for a week if that's ok for you" he asks while I smile at him and think why he would want to go to New Orleans

"What made you decide on New Orleans?" I say while looking at him confused

"Well I heard that it is a very beautiful place with lost of music and amazing food" he says with a smile on his face

"That sounds nice, ya that's fine with me but I don't know how my mom will react though because we do a lot of stuff together" I say while frowning at the thought of leaving my mom for a whole week

"I know Care but I'm sure your mom will be ok with it, look I'll even make sure you guys have time to talk on the phone" he says while he hugs me

I sigh "ok I'll go" I hug back

We both pull out of the hug and look at each other "I knew you would say yes so you should go pack because we leave tomorrow" he says

"Tomorrow?! Tyler why didn't you give me a few days notice" I say completely stressed about how fast I have to pack and we all know it takes me forever to pack

"I know but I wanted to make sure it was set and we both had nothing going on this week" he says while placing his hands on my arms and gently rubbing them

"Ok well I guess I should go pack then" I smile and give him a quick kiss then head up to my room and begin packing

After I finished packing I went to my mom's room so I could tell her the news.

"Hey mom" I say while smiling at her

"Hey sweetie" she says while smiling back

"I have to tell you something" I say while sitting down next to her

"What is it?" She asks a little concerned

"Me and Tyler are going to New Orleans for a week for our 1 year anniversary" I say frowning because I don't want to leave my mom

"Oh sweetie don't be sad and enjoy that time with Tyler" she says while hugging me

"Are you sure mom?" I say hugging back

"Yes I'm sure now you need to rest if you're leaving tomorrow" she says while pulling out of the hug and giving me a smile

"I love you mom" I say while smiling back

"I love you too sweetie" she says while standing up and grabbing a necklace then walks back over to me "I want you to take this with you" she says while handing it to me

"I... I can't take this mom" I say while admiring the necklace

"Yes you can" she says while I stand up and give her a hug "Now go get some rest"

"Ok" I say while walking towards my room and putting the suitcase by the door then I take a quick shower. While I was showering there were so many thoughts running through my head about seeing Klaus again after our little time in the woods together. I also kept thinking about what Tyler will say knowing that I'm friends with his enemy. I guess I should trust my mom and go and have a good time. I get out of the shower and I dry myself off when I hear my phone buzz and seeing Klaus's name pop up.

K~ Sorry for not texting you earlier I was busy but I just wanted to say sweet dreams love

I smile at how even though he's always busy he still finds a way to talk to me. He's actually a nice person once you get to know him better. But I know I should tell Klaus that I'm coming to New Orleans tomorrow and maybe try not to get him to kill Tyler.

C~ I need to tell you something

I put my phone down so I can change into my pajamas and just as I get into bed my phone buzzes again.

K~ what is it love?

C~ Tyler and I are coming to New Orleans tomorrow for our 1 year anniversary and I was wondering if we could meet up and talk face to face?
