"What the FUCK!"

Evan's eyes flash open, sitting up to see Cleo standing in front of her bed, her hands on her hips and her jaw dropped but her mouth slowly twisting into a wicked smile. Evan feels weight shift in the bed as she looks over to see Dean sitting up on his elbow. He looks up to her smiling.

"Good morning" he whispers.

Evan bites her lip before giving a small smile, unsure of the situation she's gotten herself into. "Good morning" she returns.

"What the fuck happened last night?" Cleo crossed the room, sitting on her bed crossing her legs, looking between Dean and Evan, brows raised. "I mean I know what happened.. Just... Wow, I'm impressed!"

The room is quiet for a moment with no one really knowing what to say before Evan speaks up. "Well, uhm, could you give us a minute?"

"Oh.. Yea, of course!" Cleo responds with a small giggle getting up and heading toward the door. "By the way, I didn't see anyone else up yet when I came in, I suggest you get out of here before anyone sees or you'll really be answering 21 questions." She adds, sending a wink towards Dean as she walks out the door.

Evan looks back to Dean, and with a sigh she slowly gets out of bed wrapping a blanket around herself.

"Soo, what now?" Dean asks laying back in bed, a small smile spreading across his face.

"Well, I'm gonna shower.." Evan says glancing back to Dean while grabbing herself some clothes.

"Wanna get some breakfast?" he asks.

"Uhhm.. sure." Evan hesitates, just wanting to escape the situation. She leaves the room and makes her way into the bathroom, head still spinning from the events of last night. As she gets into the shower, she turns the water to hot and hopes it melts away all the things racing through her head. What did she just do? Sure, she had felt attracted to Dean, but what was happening between her and Alex? Was it anything at all? Was she reading too much into it? Surely a guy like him couldn't be into her. Even if he was she couldn't sleep with him, it was against the rules. Then again, so was sleeping with Dean.

After they had both showered, they walked a few blocks down to Peacock Cafe.

"I actually heard from some of the crew that this place has really good flapjacks, and you get a lot for your money. You wanna share a plate?" Dean says enthusiastically looking up from his menu.

Evan looked up from her own menu, "Sure" she answered reluctantly with a soft smile as the waitress approached them.

"So, are you gonna tell me what's on your mind?" Dean asks after giving the waitress their order, leaning back in the booth and raising his brows at Evan.

Evan waits a few seconds before responding, trying to figure out the best way to express her feelings of the night before.

"Dean.. What happened last night.." she begins

"Was a mistake." he finished.

Evan gives Dean a blank stare, unsure of how to respond.

"That's what you were going to say right?" He shrugs, looking away.

"I.. No. Not in those words. I mean yes, it was a mistake. We shouldn't have done that. I definitely shouldn't have. I wasn't thinking right." Evan shakes her head trying to make sense of the situation for the both of them.

"No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have let you take control of the situation like that, you were drinking. I should have just taken you to bed and left you there. I should have been the stronger one, but I wasn't. I just.. I don't know..." Dean looks away from Evan as he trails off.

"You just what?"

"I guess I was just hoping that we were really feeling the same way. I wanted to take that moment and run with it and just hope it lasted." he looked into Evan's eyes trying to see if she shared any of the same feelings. Evan shared his gaze, uncertain of how to share her own convictions. Her mind floated to Cleo and what kind of advice she might give. She wished she had talked to her about this before they left.

Evan took a deep breath. "Dean... I'm attracted to you. I would be lying if I said that I hadn't already thought of doing the same things we did last night. And besides the point if I was drunk or not, I still knew what I was doing. It was both of us. And it was wrong. If Logan, or, or HR found out... I don't even know what would happen. I don't want to know what would happen. Last night was great, and I had fun. And I'm really not sure if I regret it or not, I can't decide yet. But I know that at least until I do decide, we definitely can't do it again. And I'd really like if things wouldn't get weird between us. Last night we were just two adults that had our own needs and, and we fulfilled them for each other." Evan sighs happily, relieved she got everything off of her chest. She looks up to gauge Dean's reaction. His smile fills his face. His eyes crinkle at the sides, just like they did last night.

"I couldn't have said that better myself."

He leans in just as the waitress brings out their order of flapjacks.

"Now I guess it's time for us to fulfill our duty to eat this whole plate of jacks" he jokes.

Evan laughs relieved the situation has deescalated for the most part. Her phone vibrates in her pocket.

"Hey, it's Alex. Are you free tomorrow?"

Short chapter I know, but we're slowly getting to the good stuff I promise!
