Jungkook and Jimin entered the elevator, standing side by side, both of them too shy to make eye contact for a few moments, before the younger caught his date's attention by taking hold of his hand, intertwining their fingers.

"Are you cool with just chilling at mine, and we can go out for lunch later?"

"Yeah, I'd love that. I've been craving a lazy day with you for ages now." Jimin beamed, the comment making Jungkook flustered.

The younger just hummed in return, and a comfortable silence followed.

"Jungkook?" Jimin turned to him, eyes gleaming.

"Hmm?" The younger returned.

"How long did you, um, like me for?"

This time, Jungkook had no problem in answering straight away, his doubts melted away by Jimin's sunshine. "Same as you said. It's always been there, but I think I realised it sooner than you. When you left school I started to miss you a lot... and I thought about what it would be like if we were more than friends."

"And it just escalated from there?" Jimin asked as they stepped out into the cold street, dark clouds gathering overhead.

"Yep, and here we are. It's quite odd, isn't it?" Jungkook laughed lightly, and Jimin felt himself shiver at how beautiful it sounded.

"It really is, but it's a good thing." Jimin squeezed Jungkook's hand. "Right?"

"Of course, Chim," The younger returned the squeeze. "Wouldn't have it any other way."

God, how come I didn't realise I liked him sooner? Jimin couldn't stop smiling, leaning his head on Jungkook's shoulder and hugging his waist.

When they arrived at Jungkook's building, the younger buzzed himself in and Jimin followed him up the stairs.

"Now, as you know, my apartment is always really messy." Jungkook chuckled as they reached his door. "But I fixed it — with a little help from Yoongi-Hyung — just for you."

"That's so god damn sweet." Jimin grinned, blushing furiously.

Jungkook swung the door open and the older gasped dramatically, making him giggle and blush as Jimin's eyes lit up.

"Oh, you moved the couch! And the fairy lights are adorable! I'm proud of you." The older pecked his cheek before kicking off his shoes and walking into the living room, looking around at the genuinely impressive effort Jungkook had put into cleaning the place up. "Is your room done, too?"

"You won't even recognise her." Jungkook pulled Jimin up onto his back and the older laughed hysterically as he ran down the hall to his bedroom, legs wrapped around Jungkook's torso.

"Oh my weave, she's gorgeous Kookie." Jimin giggled as Jungkook let him down onto the bed. "I've never seen the bed made before. Are the cushions... karate chopped?"

"Damn, you really notice the smallest details, Park Jimin."

"I do." The older lay on his back, eyes moving from the ceiling to Jungkook's face.

He sat up, eyes locked with the younger's. Jungkook was trying not to smile, widening his eyes playfully as Jimin wouldn't let up, letting his gaze wander across the younger's gorgeous features. The way they were so soft yet so sharp, the sheer beauty of this boy when you really payed attention to it holds so much more than just one glance. In no way did Jungkook look ordinary, and the more you studied him, the prettier he became.

"I notice your details, too," Jimin began, lips parted as he expressed his train of thought out loud. "The curve of your nose, the dip of your cupid's bow, the freckles that spot your cheeks." He tilted his head to the side slightly, taking one more moment to admire the glow that Jungkook emitted.
