Chapter 7

Liv's P.O.V

I slowly opened my eyes to see Liam holding my hand while looking to the floor crying.He was mumbling things like 'This is my fault.'and 'I should have gotten there faster.'When my hand squeezed his own he shot his head up to face me.He saw my smile and fell into my open arms.I rubbed circles on his back for comfort.His tears brought my own to my eyes.I pushed him back and grabbed his hand."Liam I'm here.I'm okay."He sobbed even more."Baby you left me.You died but miraculously came back.I should have gotten there faster."I leaned over and kissed his tears."Liam I love you too."Those words exploded out suddenly.His head shot up and his eyes searched me to see if I was truthful.He shyly smiled and asked "You heard me?"I nodded."Liam I've known since the day you brought me to your home for safety."He smiled widely and brought me into his arms.

The clicking of heels approaching the door made us jump away from each other.Nobody could know.I looked up to see no other than my mother.I choked on air as she approached my bed.Liam grabbed my hand for reassurence."What are you doing here?Why are you here?"She looked taken back by my words."Because I'm your mother!"She said raising her voice.I was furious at this woman who calls herself my mother."My mother!You fucking left me you bitch!You left me to die!That asshole beat me until I bled!He fucking put me here by poisoning me!It's all your fault!You watched him beat me then left!You didn't even call the police!So don't you dare call yourself my mother!You are just a bitch to me!"My heart monitor was going crazy as my heart beats were fast.Liam squeezed my hand to calm me down although it wasn't helping.She came closer to me and slapped me.I clutched onto my stinging cheek.Liam jumped up and ran towards the door while calling for a nurse.My mother was sneering at me.I gave her my death-glare.My nurse ran in and had my mother escorted out.My mother didn't leave before yelling out "This isn't the last you will see of me! I'll be back!"Then she was taken away.

I don't even care about what just happened.I just cried because my life sucked apart from having Liam.He heard my sobs and crawled in beside me.He rubbed my back and stroked my hair while I cried into his shirt."Babe wh-ere am I goi-ng to li-ve?"I said in between sobs."With me of course."He said in a duh-tone.I silently laughed."But Liam what about the school?"He sighed."I will find another job."I pulled away."No we'll be secretive.Or I'll stay with Amy and Luke."He shook his head."No with me."He said seriously.I laid my head on his chest while he held me.I looked up when I heard a girl screaming at nurses."Where is my best friend?!?Her name is Liv Madison!"Me and Liam chuckled at her yelling.The nurse calmed her down by bringing her in the room.She squealed and ran to me.Luke walked in after her."Hey."I whispered.She smiled with tears rolling down her cheeks."Hi.Are you okay?Liam what did you do?"She said her last sentence while glaring at him."Me.It was her dad Amy."He said in a shocked tone.She untensed and hugged me.Luke pushed Liam away and did the same."I knew her first."He said while playfully smirking at Liam.He chuckled and sat in a chair across the room."Liv do you want to come live with us?Mom said it was okay if you stayed with us."I shyly smiled and said "Thank you but I'll be staying with Liam."Her and Luke playfully smriked."Liv Madison I do not want to be an aunt just yet!"I playfully hit her arm."I highly doubt that will happen."Luke smirked and answered with a smart reply."So you are in doubt you don't know so?"I hit him harder than I did Amy.Liam chuckled and walked over to my bed.Luke and Amy rose their eyebrows up and down at Liam in a playful manner.He shook his head in disbelief and sat with me on the bed."So when are you leaving?"Liam answered for me."She can leave tonight."I nodded as they did the same.

After a long conversation full of laughs and jokes they left me alone with Liam."Baby what happened to my dad?"He blushed."After I uhh beat his face he passed out and I called the police.I also packed your things."I nodded.We were leaving the hospital now.They had to pump my stomach earlier so I had to be careful.The car ride to his house was silent but comfortable.We got inside and brought in my things.He took them to his room while I followed with a suitcase.We quickly unpacked everything and changed.I wore one of his t-shirts with boxers.He wore just his boxers.His body sent shivers down my spine.Damn.He was like a sex-symbol.We crawled into the bed and I snuggled into his chest.He stroked my hair and told me we weren't going to school tomorrow.I was glad for that.

I woke up to the sound of coughing and heaving coming from the bathroom.I jerked out of bed noticing I was alone in it.The bathroom door slowly creaked once I turned the nob.The sight before me broke my heart.Liam was curled up in a fetal position with tears in his eyes.He was beside the toilet."Baby what's wrong?"I said while rushing towards him."Liv get away I think I have the stomach flu and I don't want you to get it."I brushed him off and pulled him into my arms."No,I'm going to take care of you."He tried to deny but I wouldn't let him."Come on let's brush your teeth and get you into bed."He slowly nodded.He was sweating and I felt his head.Of course he had a fever.After brushing his teeth he crawled into bed.I looked at the time that read 4:37AM.I groaned.I can't even go to sleep.I'll be to worried about Liam.I grabbed a washcloth and ran it under some cold water.I placed i on Liam's head hoping to bring it down.After noticing him shiver I ran back tot he bathroom and grabbed a thermometer.I placed it in his mouth and waited impatiently for the beep.Once it beeped I looked at it to see 103.2 degrees.I groaned and crawled in bed beside him.He laid his head in my lap while I stroked his hair.I heard soft snores coming from him and sighed.Tomorrow he would go to the doctor's office.

Liam's P.O.V

I was sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's office waiting for my name to be called.Liv couldn't come with me because if people knew one of us they would probably question everything.The sound of my name being called pulled me from my thoughts of Liv.I followed behind a blond haired nurse who was about 5'1.She smiled and winked.I scoffed and walked in to see a man in about his fifties."Hello Mr.Payne.Can you explain your symptoms?"I told him everything and he prescribed some medicine that I would have to pick up on my way home.Liv was alone at the house and probably hadn't eaten so I picked up some fast food on the way.

As soon as I pulled up my driveway,my front door flew open revealing a running Liv.She approached the car before I could even get out."How bad is it?What's wrong with you?Will you be okay?Are you going to die?"I stopped her there and playfully glared at her."Really?Am I going to die?Wow Liv I feel loved you want me dead."I said pretending to cry."She gasped."No no no no.I didn't mean it like that.I'm just worried.I love you to much to have you dead."Her eyes widened as she expressed her feelings."I love you too."I said with a wink.She blushed."Anyway he told me I had the 24hr stomach flu but with a little cold.I had to pick up medicine but while I was driving home I picked us up some McD's."She smiled and opened the car door and grabbed the bag,stealing a french fry while doing so.I chuckled and followed her into the house.

We ate then she made me get into bed so that I could rest up.I groaned and climbed into our bed.As she kissed my head I yanked her down onto the bed with me.She ended up straddling me.I wanted so bad to kiss her but I didn't want to get her sick.She must have been doing the same because she furrowed her eyebrows in frustration."Liv can I tell you something?"She nodded."Well I know we've only been dating for a few months,but I want you to know something.I love you."Her smile widened and she pecked my lips before whispering "I love you too."I too smiled wide maybe even wider than her."I'm glad I met you before school."She nodded.She yawned and got off of me,climbing to the other side of the bed.She crawled under the covers and snuggled closer to me.We fell asleep talking about little nothings.
