In no time, Sofia, Hugo, and their horses were back to where they were.
"Oh, now I'd better get home to Albuquerque to wash out this smell," Hugo declared.
"We'd better hurry before our friends come," Sofia declared.
"Right," Hugo nodded. "Let's get a move on, Electra, before this stench burns your nose off." He and Electra flew off back to their kingdom as fast as they could.
Minimus went back into the stable, and Sofia hurried inside and ran into her stepfather, King Roland II.
"Ah, Sofia," Roland smiled. But then he sniffed out the skunk smell on his stepdaughter. "Oh, lord! Did you make friends with a skunk?"
"Well, Hugo and I had to help a princess reconcile with her sister, and her pet skunk got so excited that he accidentally sprayed us," Sofia replied. "Now I have to wash out this smell before our friends get here."
Violet showed up, having heard the conversation, and said with her nose pinched, "Luckily, we just bought some more of that tough soap that can wash out skunk smell easily."
"Thank you, Violet, but what are we going to do about Sofia's clothes and jewelry?" Roland asked.
Cedric showed up and said, "I can help with that—last week, Grimtrix and I made a special potion that can remove skunk smell from anything. By the time, Sofia is destinkified, her clothes and jewelry should be smelling fine, too."
"Thanks, Mr.Cedric," Sofia smiled.
"No problem—we'd better get you cleaned up before your friends get here," Cedric told her.
Sofia hurried to her room and removed her clothes and jewelry. Suzette took the stinky clothes, Amulet, earrings and Enchantlet to Cedric, who was working on the potion.
Meanwhile, Hugo made it to his own palace, and Electra hurried into the stables. Hugo's mother, Queen Samira, came by with Garrick and his younger brother, Grimtrix.
"Ah, Hugo, your father said you were out on a Secret Library mission, but shouldn't you still be at...?" Samira asked. But then she, Garrick, and Grimtrix sniffed out the skunk smell and felt as though they were going to gag. "Rampaging Royalty! What is that smell?"
"Sofia and I got skunked when we accomplished our mission," Hugo replied. "I just need to wash out this smell."
"Good thing we still have some of that strong soap that'll remove skunk," Samira sighed, pinching her nose. "Let's get you cleaned up."
Hugo hurried to his bedroom and removed his stinky clothes and Enchantlet. But as he put his robe on, Grimtrix came in and said, "Garrick, we're out of that soap you said we need to remove that stench."
"Oh, no," Hugo gasped.
"Don't worry—Cedric and I learned a magic potion that can magically remove skunk smell," Grimtrix told his nephew. "It can be used on people, clothes, jewelry, pets—anything that's been skunked. Luckily, I already made a huge batch of the potion." He took out a bottle of said potion. "You'll have to pour this in the tub. I'll take your stinky clothes and put them in the cauldron in my workshop."
"Okay, thanks, Uncle Grim," Hugo smiled.
"Okay, champ, let's get you cleaned up," Garrick said.
Forty-five minutes later, Sofia's and Hugo's friends arrived at Enchancia Castle. Sofia was already clean, but Hugo hadn't come back yet. This made Sofia presume that Hugo was taking his time removing the stench.
