All Roses Aren't Red

"Yo." He said, chewing mint gum while he shoved his hands in his pockets. I turned around to him, smiling softly at him. He bit his bottom lip, then mumbled "Fuck."

I looked at him confused, "What's up?" I said turning back to drawing in my sketch pad. "I-I'm." He said as he played with his fingers. ""You're?" I said waiting for something else from him. He cleared his throat and stood up straight, towering over me. "I'm breaking up with you." He said waiting for a reaction from me. Normally, people would scream or cry, push and shove, make a fuss, but I just smiled. "Why?" I said, my smile still on my face. "I just need some time alone." He said and walked away. I stared at his figure as it got smaller and smaller until I couldn't see him anymore. I didn't cry at all, I just ripped a paper out of my sketch book and tore it apart. "I love you." I whispered and left the my sketch book under the same tree we met at.

"Dude, she didn't even say anything. She was cool with it." He said talking with his friends. "Yo, that chick is cool, you should invite her to hang with us sometimes." His friends said. "Aha, yeah." He said, laughing along with them, but they all knew that wasn't going to happen. "Anyways, have you seen Katie from class 1-a?" He said as his friend averted their attention to. "Yeah bro, that girl is thiccc man. I just wanna slurp slurp." His friend said as the others laughed at his hand actions agreeing with him. "Yo Brian, you sure she was cool with it?" His friend Koji said. "Bruh, yeah dude she was like ight." Brian said acting cool, leaning back in his chair. "Ight just wondering." Koji said.

"Omg, I heard Brian is single, again!" The girls squealed in the bathroom as they gossiped as usual. "I'm glad he left that slut Y/n, who knew she would go after Brian." Katie said laughing with her friends. Little did they know Y/n was in one of the stalls, but she stayed silent. "Whatever lets go girls." Katie said and all Y/n could hear was the sounds of their heels. Silence filled the room and a tear fell from her eyes, then another, then another. She started to sob, but she stopped herself from crying. 'Stupid ass stop crying.' 'your such a slut, he was too good for you anyways.'   She wiped her tears and put a bit of makeup on to cover up the tear stains. She walked out of the bathroom, then she stopped her self. "Oh!, almost forgot something." She said and went to the  mirror. She looked in the mirror and put a huge smile on her face, then walked out.

'Why is she smiling?'

'Doesn't she ever cry?'

'She doesn't care, does she?'

'She's just being stupid.'

'Or...she don't care.' Brian's friends said as they hid behind a bush watching Y/n as she sipped her mocha by the café window.

'How about we make a challenge, first one to make her sad or even shed a tear wins.' Jake said and the others agreed.

'What's the prize though?' Koji said.

'$1000 dollars, plus a massage from me.' Jake said grinning.

'Yeah!' The boys cheered with Brian, but he had a feeling in his gut that made him want to reject the challenge.
