"I've got your picture, I'm coming with you, Dear Maria, count me in!" blasted from my alarm. I groaned and slowly got out of bed. I looked out the window to find that this Monday morning happened to be very rainy and depressing. My body was still aching from what my dad had done to me yesterday. I slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans along with my All Time Low shirt.

I walked into the bathroom and turned on my straightener. I opened my my jar concealer to find it empty. Oh no! This can't be happening I continued to search for some kind of concealer but came up empty hand. Great, how else was supposed to cover up my cuts and bruises. I guess its not like anyone will notice anyways. Now i was running late so I quickly ran the straightener through my hair and put on some mascara and eyeliner. I grabbed my phone along with my ear buds and bag and ran downstairs. I could hear the bus beeping and I ran out the door onto the bus.

Everyone on the bus seemed to be staring at me today. Maybe they did notice my bruises. My face must look pretty bad if even the Luke Hemmings that I've had a crush for years is staring at me. I take a seat at the back of the bus by myself and try to ignore all the stares by putting my ear buds in and turning on my my favorite All Time Low album So wrong, It's Right. I could still feel everyone's eyes on me and it was getting uncomfortable.

I turn to the person in the seat next me and said, "Do you know why everyone is staring at me?"

He turned to me and said,"I believe its because you and Luke over there seem to be matching." I looked at him in confusion and glanced down at my outfit and then over to Luke who was wearing the exact same thing. It didn't help that Luke and I have blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Well, that embarrassing. Thanks anyways." At least it wasn't because of my face.

"Oh, your face is a little bruised up too and no problem." Never mind , I spoke to soon.

I leaned back into my seat and put my ear buds back as I looked out the window. Then I felt a tap and my shoulder. It was the same boy I just talked to.

I took my ear buds out and looked at him and he said," I never caught your name."

I told him " Jasey, Jasey Biersack."

Then he shook my hand and said,"Nice to meet you I'm Michael, Michael Clifford. Maybe we could hang out sometime."

I said "Nice to meet you too and that would be nice." We exchanged numbers and then the bus came to a stop and Michael said bye and ran off with his friends. I couldn't help but think "I just made a friend."

Lunch time came around and I was starving. I hurriedly organized my books in my locker and headed down to the cafeteria. As I was walking to my table Michael walked up to me.

"Would you like to sit with me and my friends?" he asked.

"Uhh, no thanks. I prefer to sit alone. Sorry." I said.

"That's okay, I understand," he said. We both said bye and I walked off to my table. I put in my ear buds and began to eat.

The rest of the day went on painfully slow and I couldn't wait to get home unless my dad was there but probably not. He was usually out drinking most of the time. The final bell rung and I gathered my stuff and headed out to get on my bus. On the way home Michael sat with me and we talked. It was so nice to have a friend. We both discovered we have the same taste in music. The bus finally came to my stop and I said goodbye. As I was walking up to my front door I noticed my dad's car was in the drive. Oh, great. I walked in the house to hear smashing of glass. I tried to sneak upstairs but my dad had caught my arm.

"Where have you been!" my dad spat angrily.

"I was at school." I said barely above a whisper.

"Oh sure, now tell me where you really were," he said.

"I swear I was dad," I said starting to sob.

"STOP LYING TO ME YOU LITTLE BITCH!" he yelled. He punched me in the face a couple of times and then pushed me to the floor. He started kicking me in the ribs over and over again. He punched me once more in the temple and that's when everything went black.

I had opened my eyes to find I was on my bed in my room. That's when I saw someone sitting at my desk and screamed and the person jumped a little and whipped around and looked at me. Oh, it was just Micheal. Thank god.

"Oh, hey your up.'

"Uhh yeah, but why are you in my house."

"Well I texted and called you quite a few times and you hadn't answered in hours. I remember where lived from on the bus and I figured I would come over and make sure your okay. Obviously you weren't cause I found you bloody and unconscious on the floor. So I found your bathroom, cleaned you up, looked for your room, and carried you up here. Mind explaining what happened?" he explained

"Oh, well thanks I guess. I.....umm.....I fell down the steps?" I said. Nice one, he'll totally believe that.

"There's no way falling down the step can cause that much damage. Now, tell me what really happened."

"It's kind of a long story," I said.

He said, "So, I've got time,"
