Shu has a dog, a Siberian husky named Marmalade. He's a big ol sweetie from the minute they met. Shu's had him since he was a small puppy, so they're just as close as Shu and Valt were. Along with Paddington the St Bernard who is Aria's dog, Aria herself and his friends, that was all he ever needed. He didn't need his family, he had all he could ask for. A loving girlfriend, friends he could depend on, and the dog he calls his best friend.
Fast forward to the Red Eye situation, it had just ended. Shu was back and everything was done and over with. Shu and Aria's reunion was an emotional one. Although after the tournament they ran off to return to Japan without anyone knowing until they returned. Shu had one thing on his mind, his best friend.
"Will he remember me?"
"Of course he will." Aria answered Shu. She held his and went to get both Paddington and Marmalade. Once she came back, Shu's breathing hitched, he was shaking. Marmalade was a adult now. 4 years old. He looked so different, there was NO way Marmalade was gonna remember him. But he did, cause as soon as Marmalade laid eyes on Shu, he had rushed and tackled him to the ground causing Aria to laugh and Paddington to get excited and greet Shu as well.
"Ok ok ok down boy down!" He said getting Marmalade off of him finally. Paddington sat down by them and nuzzled Shu as of saying hi.
Now Marmalade, he was just all over the place, he was crying, going up to Aria, the back to Shu and gets petted, and repeats.
"Marmalade it's ok. Calm down buddy... " Shu said tearing up. Marmalade obeyed and sat down, his tail just a wagging. Shu sat up and pet him gently, who nuzzled his hand.
"I missed you too... Old pal."
