Their pain

I was roaming outside the operation theatre. Every running minute was giving me goosebumps. I was really restless and tears were rolling down to my eyes nonstops. She was lying inside with some equipments and doctors were treated her. I could see it through the glass window. I was cursing myself, I left her alone after knowing everything and Ruhana! where the hell she was? I was struggling with my own thoughts. I felt a sharp pain inside my chest. I fell on my knees and hid my face in palms. I bursted into tears. It had been long 5 hours for my wait. But nobody came outside.Finally my wait was over.Door of OT got opened and Ruhana came out. I ran towards her. I held her hands.

“How's she?  How's my baby? Is everything fine? “I kept on asking and didn't give her a single chance to speak.

She squeezed my hands. “Aarav Angel is perfectly fine but.. “ Her words left incomplete as she hadn't courage to speak further.

“But what Ruhana? “ I shouted impatiently.

“She suffered a miscarriage. “ She said.I left her hands and stared at her.

“Stop kidding Ruhana. “I shouted in anger.

Ruhana sighed. Her eyes were moist. “Aarav be strong. Angel needs you. “She said and pressed my shoulders.

I raged with this. “Where were you? I gave you her responsibility then why you left her alone?”I shouted at her.

“There was an emergency. “ She said. I composed myself.

“Can I meet her? “ I asked.

“Let we shift her to ward. “She said and moved ahead.

I sat with thud on bench lying there.I hid my face in my palms. I was in dilemma. I didn't know what to do. How would I face her?  I assured her about her security but I failed again.

“Hash!! “I smashed my hand on bench.

Our every hope and happiness were shattered by the time. I was thinking about Angel. She would demand an answer from me. What would I say? I composed myself. I walked  towards her ward with weak steps. I pushed the door and entered into room. She was lying with closed eyes may be slept under the effect of anesthesia . I sat on stool lying there. I brushed my fingers in her hairs lightly and kissed her forehead. I kept my forehead at her forehead and closed my eyes. I couldn't bear to see her like this, the immense pain she beared,  Now she lost her baby. A ray of hope in our life. We lost it and it was just because of Sachin.

“I'll not spare him now.” I growled in anger. She opened her eyes when she felt wetness of my eyes on her face. She looked at me blankly. I hung my head down as I felt myself guilty.

“Can I go to Delhi please?” The only thing she asked. Tears leaked down to her eyes. I held her hands and nodded as no.

“Please Aarav don't stop me. Lemme go.” She said helplessly and squeezed my hands. I placed my head on our hands and tears were falling on them.I said nothing but wetness of my eyes said everything. Our silence was screaming in room. And this was unbearable for both of us. She tried to get up but fell back on bed. I. was totally engrossed in my thoughts that I couldn't notice that. She shut her eyes and silent tears were rolling down to her cheek. Her silence which I couldn't bear for a second. I wiped her tears. She opened her eyes with jerk with my touch. I was shocked.She gave me a look and turned her face. She was angry I guess.I tried to talk but she didn't reply.

“Angel please talk to me. “ I pleaded while cupping her face.

She looked at me with moist eyes. “Is anything left to talk? “ She asked with heavy throat.

My grip on her face became loosen. I trembled with her words. Was really nothing left to talk between us? Was she mad at me either at Sachin or at her fate? I knew she was in pain an unbearable pain even I couldn't feel her pain but I could share her pain but she turned her face and didn't wanna talk to me even. We both were silent.Her eyes were closed and I was staring at her face.Was trying to read her expressions. Her face had no expression.She was totally blank. I was still caressing her head. We remained in same position for quite some times. I shut my eyes. Suddenly she hugged me and broke  into tears.

“Aarav He must be punished. He snatched everything from us. Don't leave him please.” She cried out. My heart was pinched to see her like this. She was totally broken after losing her baby.

“Aarav He thought it was his child but when I cleared his doubt and he pushed me from stairs.I lost my baby Just because of him. He should pay for this. Aarav please punish him.” She said while sobbing.Her sobs were making me mad at Sachin.

“He had to pay for his deeds.”The only thing I said. She was in my embrace. I made her calm. She slept in warmth of my embrace. I smiled weakly and made her lay in bed, covered her with blanket and caressed her haors lightly
