Cory's pov
And I wrapped my hands around her pretty little neck, her breath slowing. The light in her eyes fading fast, ceasing to struggle under me.

Hey mom. I'm really trying. I hope you're happy. But I dunno if I can do this anymore. I'm so confused. Everything keeps going down hill! Where were you when I needed the help? Where were you when he died? When I was out of school for weeks, scarred and scared. You didn't care then. Why do you care now?
Goodbye mom, I hope life treats you well.

Life.
Life is all just one big fuck up.
A golden boy with a golden life. The perfect parents and perfect grades.
Bullshit!
Honor student up until my last semester of senior year. Then I didn't even bother to show up. The death of a loved one can really fuck you up.
What's even worse? My perfect mother, was never there. She didn't care about me, my father and siblings. All she cares about is the money pouring in from my father. But suddenly I matter when his money has to be spent on me. When I "ruin" the family name. I'm the one who fucked up their perfect lives. What lives?! The one where my father works all fucking day while my mother fucks a different guy each day? Like the whore she is!

"Hey man" I woke up to Archer shoving me "how long you plan on stayin here and drinking all my booze?"
"Until I can get the bank to unlock my account so I can get a hotel room again."
"Why don't you settle down somewhere, Cory. This isn't a good way to live your young life. I don't wanna see you go down the same way I did."
"Don't want to see me go down the same way you did? Huh? I think it's far past that point Archer! I buried two girls with you last week! Ive had five girls die under my supervision, one of them to my own hands!" The look on Archers face said it all. He only knew about the two girls. Not the rest. I thought he was always gonna be there for me. Always gonna help me when I'm down. "You are my brother, Archer, you are supposed to help support me. That's what you always tried to do. But then you started doing drugs, got mixed into the bad crowd. And you just left. You never came back! Sometimes I wondered if you were still alive. How could you do that to me!?"
"To you!? Look at you, Cory! You're no fucking better. You left behind three siblings. Did you even have a good bond with them? Or did you leave them to raise their selves? I didn't do that to you. But you could to them, that doesn't make you any better!" At that moment all I could see was red. All I could feel was my fist making contact with Archers face.

Ooooo. Drama between siblings. Yes, Cory and Archer are brothers. Archer is about 8 years older and was the only person who would take care of Cory. Obviously that didn't end well, Archer abandoning him soon after. Cory also has two sisters and a brother who are all under the age of 13. He tried to care for them for a while but gave up after the death of Peter.
This chapter didn't go as planned. It was actually a vent chapter. But I like it. So I hope y'all enjoy too.
Have a great day and stay amazing!
