━━━━━━━━I OPENED MY EYES once more to violent rocking. My eyes shot open, at first I thought it was all a dream. A terrible dream, of zombies and death, and that I was twenty-three again and on the bus to the debate tournament.
But in an instant the reality was back. I wasn't on the bus, six years of my life did pass, and I was being taken to god knows where in an old RV.
After the death of my friends, Negan gathered Rick and took him someplace until the sun greeted our swollen eyes. By the time he opened the RV door, he had toyed around with Rick's emotions to the point be broke, and then set us on our way.
But not without his trophy. To prove that he was in charge and he was the man with the stick, he took Daryl and I. Living proof not to pass him or the saviors.
The sun was high in the sky, its rays hitting my red eyes. I spent most of my time traveling to the Sanctuary crying, the reality of not seeing my siblings or friends ever again sinking in. The possibility of being killed flooding my system.
Stirring around must have caused attention, because the next thing I knew I heard the loud footsteps approaching. The RV swerved a bit, jolting me into the window, making me groan softly.
"Simon, steady on the road!"
Negan yelled to the driver, sitting down in front of me. "Hello sleeping beauty, lucky you, we're almost to the sanctuary." He said, crossing his legs. I licked my lips, the moisture seeping in as I ignored him.
"Not talking huh?" He grunted, laying Lucille down. "Cmon doll, you're gonna be stuck with us for a long time. Better get to chirping." I rolled my eyes, not saying a word as I averted my glare.
"Still not talking? Okay, lets start with the basics. Obviously I'm not gonna let you run free in the institution that I am trying to run, so, with the small chance I'm giving you, you will cooperate. That is, unless you want to be eating dog food for the rest of your days."
I sighed, finally letting my glare land on him. I rested my chin on the small table in front of us, running a shaken dry hand though my matted, dirt covered hair. If I'm going to get my way out of here I'm going to have to play by his rules I groaned internally.
"Yeah, okay. What the hell, I mean, it's only for the rest of my life." I grumbled, agreeing to cooperate with the man who just killed two of my close comrades.
"Well I'll be damned, she speaks!" Negan howled sarcastically, making me roll my eyes.
"I'll play nice, cooperate, whatever the hell I need to do to make sure my siblings are okay." I snapped at him, beginning to regain my confidence.
"Ok, well, Nina. When we get to the sanctuary, because you're being so goddamn nice, I'll give you the grand tour. Then I'll explain how things work around here." He said, a shit-eating grin spreading on his lips. I rolled my eyes, looking out the window as we pulled into the sanctuary.

Megan walked in proudly, everyone across the large room kneeled to the ground. The was an elderly woman struggling to kneel that fought my eye. A savior pushed her down, and from her facial expression, caused her pain.
Negan tapped Lucile on the metal bars as he whispered, "I'm dearly respected here, Nina," he said, grinning ear to ear.
"Carry on!" He grinned, everyone shuffled around, getting up and back to their things. Negan grabbed my arm roughly, leading me, and some of his soldiers that where still following us, to a long hallway.
We walked into a room filled with elderly people, and even a few kids running around. "This is the senior's room, not mug too it. If someone's in here they can't make points for themselves and someone's out there making said points," Negan explained, his eyes scanning the room.
I felt filthy. Physically, I was, but mentally I was standing next to a man who killed someone close to me.
Negan tugged on my arm, leading me out and walking through a long hallway. Pointing towards different rooms and sometimes showing me what was inside.
———...SURVIVE...———
OVERALL THE SANCTUARY wasn't as bad as I had thought. Sure, you could tell the people weren't the nourished of all, but they seemed satisfied and somewhat happy where they were living.
Negan walked me into a hallway and into an empty room. "Now, because you are new here I'm not just going to endanger my people by letting you off the leash. So, you're gonna stay in this room until you pledge your loyalty to me, and prove you're not just danger. Do I make myself clear?"
I was shocked he wasn't killing me to start. But, that's what I get if I'm his new puppet, I presume.
I nodded, not saying a word or looking into his eyes.
"I'm waiting, Nina," He said sternly.
I swallowed hard, making my throat sour. "Yes, I understand."
Negan grinned ear to ear, "Well that is goddamn great!" He said loudly and cheerfully.
"I'll check up when I think you've cracked. And trust me, you will. And if you don't, you will be sent out in the playing field, or be physically cracked!" He said in a booming voice with a sick smile. I sat down in the corner or the empty room, not to dare say a word.
After a few moments of silence Negan walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him. Leaving me alone in darkness.
