Anabia Rehman has been a giver for the majority of her life. From sharing her favourite pencil with the kid she despised the most in class to giving up on her dream of going to an art school abroad so that her brother could pursue his career in medicine instead, she has always put others' need before her without a second thought.

Despite nature's unjust treatment with her on more than one occasion, Anabia has always embraced whatever harsh situation life threw at her with a beaming smile on her face. But that does not mean that it has not caused any side effects and left her untainted.

For no matter how strong you stay during the difficult periods of life, they are bound to leave you bitter in one way or another.

Anabia Rehman was no exception. She bottled up all the negativity until the time came when she was forced to pour it all out by a certain green eyed boy who carried sunshine in his smiles and rainbows in his laughter.

Zain Hameed was the type of guy Anabia had swore to stay away from because they bring instability disguised as charming grins. And she was not wrong for holding that perception because Zain was carrying secrets far too dangerous to let out and a lifestyle restricted to hidden identities and weapons only.

Will they be able to fight against the odds pulling them apart and come out victorious or will they end up as a victim to the lethal clutches of fate?

Welcome to another work of mine which is going to be a wonderful journey yet again. (InnShaAllah)

Most of you don't know this, but How Life Works is actually the very first book I started writing on this platform. I had to take it down because I wasn't able to give it the deserved attention after I wrote Pizza Calls and Stranded Bickers.

This story holds a special place in my heart because it contains events and lessons inspired from my own life, which I'm trying to hide under fiction. So yes, it is not going to be all rainbows and sunshines like my previous works.

The readers who have read the book before it was taken down, I want to apologize for the changes you're going to see. After much consideration, I've decided to fully remove the first draft and start fresh because I know that I can write it much better now.

I still love the previous version, and I have it saved in my docs, but it wasn't as well thought and refined as it is going to be now.

P.s the six chuzays are going to be ten times more charming.

One thing I want to mention is that unlike my previous three books, HLW is not solely focused on putting smiles on people's faces. Yes, my award worthy humour (you guys said so 😏) is going to be a part of it but it's also going to contain sensitive material as well.

If you guys are not a fan of crying over a character's *clears throat* unfortunate disappearance, then I suggest that you don't go further because it's sure going to happen.

The plot has already been decided and I am not going to change it no matter what kind of tantrums you precious beans throw, okay?

But don't worry too much about it because I'm a fan of happy endings and I won't let you guys leave the book with sad tears running down your cheeks. I'm not that cruel. (Well, most of the times.)

Updating schedule is not confirmed because time is not a privilege for me anymore *cries pathetically* but I'm thinking about updating every weekend if everything goes well, InnShaAllah.

Hope you guys love this story as always and enjoy Anabia's journey through life with six bongay secret agents of mine. ;)
