That was the night her life would be changed forever. Clarity had padded out into the forest, racing as fast as she could to escape from whatever darkness was trying to get a hold of her. She swerved through the trees and leapt over logs and branches,fearing whatever was following her would for sure kill her. Her heart pounded. Her lungs inflamed. She knew she couldn't keep running forever. She ran and planned each move as she went along. She wasn't paying full attention to what was ahead, however. She stumbled over a small up-rise in the ground. She felt dazed and lifted her head up, reality setting in. she faced behind her, her eyes wide. It seemed that as if a huge, dark, smoke cloud was following her. Towering over the large redwood trees even. She stared in disbelief, her ears pinned back. She then tried to scramble up off the ground, but noticed her paw was caught underneath a large and heavy branch. She tugged and tugged, then more frantically as the large smoke like cloud was gaining speed. She analyzed everything around her, until she realized. She would be better off in the darkness. If it wants her so bad, why not just let the darkness have her? She stopped struggling, and managed to unhook her paw. She stood with a fierce look in her eyes.
"Hey!" she shouted as loud as she could. The dark cloud just kept gaining more and more speed. Her tone dropped lower as if she were only trying to whisper to herself. "Come and get me."
