The sky was painted bright orange and pink on this early morning. The den was quiet, most of the pups sleeping. Mocha woke slowly, and lifted his head. He looked around, and saw his pack. Bailey, his best friend, sleeping soundly, her head between her paws. She was with Mocha ever since she was a pup. She was a light brown, had floppy ears. The entirety of the Comet pack had floppy ears for reasons unknown. Most come from families, others were just strays. She always wore a pink crown of flowers upon her head, an old gift from Mocha himself. Vanilla, his other best friend, sleeping on her back, her ears flopped over the cold ground. She was mostly yellow, like a lab. Her pink nose and white markings made her look fun and bright. Rita was there too, sleeping soundly. She was mostly tan as well, with an exception for her bright teal ears and tail. Hm. guess the rest is out early. He started up slowly and quietly, careful not to wake the others as he padded out of the rocky surface known as their home. He looked around and breathed the fresh air in deeply, sniffing out the others. He smelled their scent, not too far from there. He went off to find them through the forest. Their scent became stronger, and they became within his sights. He padded up to the two pups. One was an Australian Shepard named Kip. he was a nice pup for sure. Has a good future ahead of him. He was blue and yellow and white. Even some purple in there. A very colorful pup. Riptide, was the other pup crouching next to him. He was a good, sweet thing, but he definitely knew when to fight if he needed to. He was tan, but both his ears and fur tuft was complete water. Mocha quietly crept up to them, careful not to disturb their hunt, in case they were having one. The two it turns out were just walking their morning walk.

"Hey guys." the two boys turn their heads to look.

"Hey." the two looked unsettled. "Is everything-"

"Quiet." Riptide interrupted, but didn't snap. More like a warning. He kept quiet as in a far away distance, a twig snapped. Riptide had now lifted his ears to the air. His nose twitched. Kip's ears perked and he nudged Mocha, motioning him back in the direction of the den. Mocha nodded and nudged Riptide to do the same. They quietly started to creep back towards the den, trying to make little sound as their rough paws sunk into the mushy forest floor. But there had been a sound. A sound so small, that it was just enough to alert the glowing eyes that Kip had spotted in the distance.

"Ah shit-" the eyes suddenly moved in a flash towards them. Mocha's eyes grew wide as he realized what it was.

"Run!"

They quickly changed pace, racing against the eyes. The eyes had come out of the shadows now, and it had appeared to be a figure just like them. Only bigger. Stronger. The three padded on as quickly as they could. Mocha was the first to reach the den, exclaiming to the others what happened, hurriedly waking them.

"Everyone wake up, Seven is here. I don't know if anyone else is with him, but I doubt he'd come alone. Prepare the pack. For now, we won't need anyone but us. Just in case though, Rita, I'm going to need you to alarm pack Nova." Rita nodded, then flicked her tail.

"I'm sure you'd be happy to see the Novas." she then ran off to gather them, and Mocha growled under his breath.

"Save the jokes for after we win." Kip and Riptide rush into the den, kip already badly injured.

"He got slashed in the back, and then crushed his paw falling over. Just a lucky shot. But as we kept going, he turned around." Riptide answered for Mocha's unasked questions.

"He turned around?!" Mocha was confused, but he knew it could only mean one of a few things. And he definitely knew from the start that Seven wasn't alone. Rita practically stumbles towards Mocha.

"There..... Were... more!" she gasped between her words.

"Yes yes I know and?" He snarled.
