Chapter 3: Love at last?

*7 months later*

"Delphine! I have a surprise!" I say pushing Delphine past palace steps and escorting her to a blind date.
"I thought blind dates meant that you're not actually blind! I can't see, Ashton!" Delphine says worriedly like I am setting her into a trap.
We finally arrive.
"Open your eyes Delphine" Michael says.

-----------DELPHINE'S POV:-------------
I see him wearing a royals tux in front of a picnic of all of my favorite colors, foods, blankets, and activities. I am blushing super red against my darkly tanned skin. I sigh in love forgetting that Michael may still not know that I like him a lot. I snap out of of quickly.
"What this? My birthday is not for another 2 full moons" I say, getting back to professional business.
"This is your blind date" Ashton says, playing matchmaker.
Ashton then squeals, and leaves us be.
Michael then walks up to me, and grabs my waist respectfully and kisses me in a longing kiss. Only in my dreams have this happened. I kiss back, and we both pull away.
"After 2 years of watching you taking care of my sister, I fell in love with how delicate you are. I want to treat you like my Queen. I don't need a princess to fulfill me, when I have a real one here." Michael says, his eyes sparkle, telling me that he means it truly. I rest my head on his shoulder, and we lock arms as we head to the picnic. I am even more in love. We eat pastries, meat, wine (because we are both 21), bread, cheese, and fruit. We go mini golfing. Michael is gentle, and handsome. His eyes now sparkle and ivory green, with hints of brown. Michael gives me a gold ring, with my ruby birthstone on it and places it on my ring finger and kisses it.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He says hopeful.
"A million times yes!" I say, very polite. He lifts me up bridal style while being careful not to rip the dress Ashton gave me as a blind date get ready gift. He carries me all the way to room, and tells me goodnight, and I say it back. And we both say our "I love You"'s. I take a bath, and Ashton asks me how the date was, and I fill her in, showing her the ring he got me. A beautiful promise ring. We say goodnight, and I head to bed, realizing that this is real"
