Anxiety.

I am the relentless,

Never ending fear.

Growing deep inside your mind,

Tainting faint memories of happiness.

Filling your heart with the pang of sadness,

Clawing its way into your mind without hesitation.

You try and push me out with fake smiles and laughter,

But you know the more you try, the more you suffer.

Lying to yourself everyday, the constant

I'm fine. Just tired.

Broken

Pieces scattered in your mind.

Piercing into your thoughts,

Useless, Worthless

A burden to everyone.

They tell you that you're never a bother,

That they enjoy talking with you.

But deep down, you can feel it

The cracking,

Breaking,

And finally the snap.

You're broken inside,

Everyone says that you're fine the way you are.

But is that really true?

You may be at your best and still be able to be

Torn down,

Ruined,

Broken.

As easily as a thin glass mirror being dropped.
