a chill in the winter air,
the frost bitten grass,
and cherry-nosed children that run through the town,
the fresh snow that sits atop
a pearl white window frame,
glossy icicles on my tear stained face,
and i watch you leave,
in this wintery land,
a single light in this world of white, as you trudge through the fresh fallen snow, icy trees will never hold value,
and delicate snowflakes will never be as fragile,
as my heart when you broke me,
like a windshield covered in frost,
i shield my heart in fear,
you'll never be back,
tears turn to ice,
my heart grows cold,
and the fire in my hearth is dead.
put out by your stupidity, arrogance,
never to ignite,
i loved you once,
and this december will be the last.
