These kills were too easy.
Sitting here at my desk with stacks of files spilled out on my desk, I think about the day someone actually fights back at me.
I wish for that person to stab me, with their bare hands and rip out my lifeless and still heart I carry in my cold chest. And then I want them to see the terror in their feared eyes that even without a heart, I still live.
I will wait for that day to come. And i will wish for it as soon as possible.
"Cassie, the master wants you in his office." Patrick says, leaning against my door.
"Come on, I just got back from hunting and he already wants me to see him? I haven't even showered yet!" I frustratingly say and stand from my place, walking past the albino.
"Don't get too pissed, Cass. He isnt happy with you for some reason."
I sigh. "Well of course not. He never is happy with me, the bastard. He knows very well himself I can kill him in a blink of an eye."
Patrick followed behind me, and once we reached the big bad wolf's door, I violently opened it, revealing his honey hair and sharp silver eyes.
"What do you want, Klein? I have a date with a scalding shower." I say and stand against the wall near his desk.
His stare poured into my eyes. "You killed without permission." He angrily says.
"I had dinner with my father, only he was my dinner." I said, a smirk playing on my lips.
He grimaced and turned his attention to the flat screen television in the corner. With one press from his remote the channel 2 news came on, my house in ashes and crumbles with bright orange heated flames with a reporter talking over it.
"A few hours ago this house was asleep and normal until it burst into uncontrollable flames by what the fire brigade are saying is a gas leak. The fire started from inside the house and destroyed the interior, creating this pile of burnt wood and ash. The police are waiting for the fire to be completely out before they investigate the whole of the house, but what they found was more shocking than the house on fire."
"It appears that they found the body of 45 year old Gerald Hall, who lost his daughter 4 years ago to another house fire after her being missing for 6 months prior to her death. But apart from more than half of his body burnt to a crisp, the autopsy says that there is two deep holes on the right side of his neck and that more than 75 percent of blood had been drained. That, and his skin had been severely pierced with shards of glass from the broken television. Police are ruling this out as a murder-"
Klein turns off the television abruptly and turns to me. "What happened to disposing of the body and evidence of our existence, Cassie?! You will have us exposed!" He yelled at me.
I didn't crack, no emotion runs through my body. No sadness, no care for anyone or anything. I feel nothing.
"Klein, you need to realise that i dont care. I haven't cared for so long that i dont feel a thing towards this. You made me like This, if you didn't torture me and kill my sanity over and over again for 3 years, maybe I might of cared about this situation. But, you made me." My voice was dark, unruly.
"This is your fault, 'Master', so the jokes on you." I said, looking straight into his silver eyes.
"I am the devil here, young lady! How dare you speak to me like That!" He stands up and sternly walks towards me. Our breaths mingle, my eyes locked on his stare, but it is I, who makes him shiver slightly. I could sense it.
"You're staring at the Devil right now." I tell him, my fangs itching to suck his cold blood but I resist and walk back towards my room.
In the mirror I stare at myself, feeling nothing at all to what has happened before and what ive created.
My hand finds it way to my chest, over to where my still heart lies and that's when no sanity at all comes creeping into my non exsistent soul.
********
I could feel my blood leave my body, draining into some sort of bucket. The silence around me was interupted every few small seconds by the little pang of my dark red substance dripping into the metal pail.
The bright lights started to hurt my eyes, stinging the white behind my iris. I blinked, trying to moisturize them but failing because of the tears ive shed these past few days.
I've lost count of time, being strapped to this board brings me more stiffness than ever before. I seem to feel my stomach and chest area, and my arms are numb and dead, the legs on my body bringing the pain of needles and pins being stabbed into them, one by one, over and over.
"Ah, you've awoken." The voice of this pain says.
"How long have I've been out?" I questioned, my own needing that eater to lubricate my vocal cords.
"About three days. You must be very hungry." His golden eyes glowing with amusement.
He wanders over Me, blood sprayed all over his shirt and jacket, a dribble of blood sliding down the side of his mouth. "What is your name? I never asked before, and i think I deserve to know since ill be here for a while and probably die."
"Oh you'll die, there's no doubt about that, sweet heart. My name is Patrick, or 3007 is my number for the master."
"Numbers for the master?" I asked.
"Yes, each of us have one. It's our life span. I'll live for 3007 years or until they know how to keep Vixen"s alive. I got my number by seeing how many times I can survive death, like most of us but master has changed it to seeing how long we can survive torture. And guess What? You're the first candidate." He tells Me, lifting up the pail of blood that is filled with my crimson liquid.
"What s that for?" Fear rattling my voice.
"It's your dinner."
