It was a winter night and Jack was it woke by a crash, someone had broken into his home, he was terrified. He grabbed the pistol in his bedside table and check to make sure there it was loaded, it was. He cocked it as quietly as possible, the intruder came into the room and Jack stood with the pistol pointed out in front of him, the intruder round-housed Jack in the hand, disarming him. The intruder then picked up a nearby encyclopedia and hit it Jack in the head, knocking him unconscious. The intruder then took an unconscious Jack to where it would all begin.
