"What was that all about? YOU KNOW HIM? And- And you lied to me? Wow, I'm hurt." Kristie was going nuts over the fact that I knew Ryuzaki and kept it a secret and chose to lie to her instead.
"Lower your volume by five notches, will ya? You're attracting a lot of attention and I don't mean the good kind." I was getting annoyed by her constant wailing. "Besides, it's not that big of a deal..."
"Not that big of a deal?!" Oh here we go. That was stupid of me... "NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL??!! YOU KNOW THAT I think he's cool! I mean he's different than everyone else here..." Her voice suddenly dimmed down. At least she doesn't want the whole school to see her as a weirdo... or the few that don't already anyways.
"No you don't, Kristie. You're just bored, this is just some stupid thing to distract yourself from the real problems in your life. And trust me, knowing him is not a big honor." I said quietly, fearing for another of her outbursts.
"How can you say that!! You're a MONSTER!"
Monster... I know she was joking but still...
"Don't you think that's a bit of an overstatement?" I asked. My voice was almost inaudible now.
"Hey, hey. You know I didn't mean that, right? You know me, I always joke around!" Kristie immediately tried taking back what she said.
"Yeah... It just felt so... real, I guess?" I said uneasily. Wow, way to go! And the best at ruining good moods is... me! Yay! "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. It's just my normal, depressed self, huh?" I laughed awkwardly. Wow, this couldn't get any worse, could it?
"Hey, no worries! So, you gonna meet up with him?" Kristie waved it off and attacked me with another question.
"Doesn't look like I have a choice, right? Besides, he knows things I want to, so yeah." I sighed.
"Can I come with? Don't worry, just for your protection of course!" I swear this girl never changes, or maybe I should say that her moods change real quick? Nah, I don't know, she's a total mystery sometimes.
"I think I should go alone... But I'll tell you all about it?" I said uneasily, fearing for her response.
"Yeah, maybe you're right. I don't really know the guy after all because YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU DID!" Aaaaand we're back on that topic again.
"Great! Thanks for understanding!" I smiled sweetly, completely ignoring the second part of her sentence.
"Wait, wahhh?" Before she could overrun me with another flood of questions, I turned and went towards the library. We had a free period right now and I was planning to already get some homework done so I didn't have to rush it in the evening. Snape assigned us another long-ass essay again and this time, I didn't want to put it off until the night before, because well, sleep is a beautiful thing and I was not going to sacrifice it for some dumb essay again.

The door squeaked loudly as I closed it behind me. I had just finished that stupid essay. Perfect timing! Lunch would be served soon. Making my way towards the Great Hall, I was suddenly pulled off course.
"What the hell?" I yelled loudly at my kidnapper and twisted my arm around so Malfoy couldn't keep his grip on me. "What are you doing, you retarded ferret!"
"Keep your voice down, will you? There is something I need to ask you." Sighing he dropped my arm. "The symbol you told me about, can you describe it?"
"Huh?" Was he talking about the one I saw in the halls? "Well, it was glowing so I couldn't see its real shape..."
"All right. But where did you see it?" Why does he want to know? Despite him telling me that the Malfoy Family would have my back, I was still skeptical. Those crazed maniacs, I couldn't just trust them like that.
"Why do you want to know?" I voiced my thoughts. "Are you planning something?"
Malfoy's cheeks tinted red and he averted his gaze from mine. "I was just curious is all..." He didn't sound trustworthy at all.
"It was just in the halls." I stated and turned towards the Great Hall. I couldn't wait for food! And it seemed like my stomach couldn't wait either as it was loudly complaining.

"So, anything new?" I asked Ryuzaki. We were currently sitting at a table in the far back of the library. out of everyone else's sight. We had been talking about a few nothings but eventually, topics ran out, so I asked about B. Ryuzaki had said that there was something new, and I wanted to know about it, even if I wasn't intending to help with the investigation once the case was opened.
"As of now, no." My eyes widened. It had already been more than three months! How long was he intending to wait? Or was his plan just so hard to get ready? Or did he have to wait for a specific time?
"Numbers and names..." I mumbled. B had once told me... Back when we were still naive little children, oblivious to the horrors of life.
"Hm? What is it?" Ryuzaki gave me a questioning look. I snapped my head up.
"Oh... I-It's nothing..." Why didn't I tell him? Was it because I still refused to believe B would do something? Was it because I hoped that he could still come through like I had? Or was it because I didn't want to let go of that tiny bit that connected only B and me... We had a special form of bond, we had shared secrets that noone else knew.
"Well then. That's how things are right now. I personally think that we still have to wait for quite some time until anything happens." Ryuzaki didn't press for further detail and I was glad. But did he know? Was that why he suspected there might still be a long time?
"Yeah. I actually think so, too. But it's just a feeling I guess." I agreed and began to pack up my things. The conversation was mostly over and it was almost dinner time as well. "It was nice talking to you again, Ryu."
"Yeah. That's right. I will keep you informed, too. Incase you change your mind." He replied, the ghost of a smile on his lips.
We exited the library an went to the Great Hall for dinner. Nothing worth mentioning happened, other than Kristie bombarding me with questions I couldn't answer, but I had this uneasy feeling that something was wrong. A storm was brewing up outside the windows and I could tell that it would get ugly. I kept staring outside and it seemed like the longer I stared, the brighter something was glowing inside the Forbidden Forest...
