Saving Mangle

I freak out happily as I feel Mangle's soft breath against my head. I immediately pick her up bridal style and run out the house, ignoring the wooden splinters on the living room floor.

I rush out of the house and to the nearest one. A minute later I reach a house and knock god knows how many times until a boy with a black top hat and brown hair answers it.

"Crimson? What are you doing he--" Freddy stops talking when he sees the fainted Mangle in my arms.

"I need your car," I exclaim to him. He sighs, still in shock, and leaves. He comes back after a second with car keys in his hands and makes his way to the black Chevy.

"I'm driving you," he hops into the front and motions for me to come in.

I hurry to the back of the car and set Mangle down on my lap. I then do up the seatbelt as Freddy starts the car.

He drives as fast as he can to the hospital when I realize, we should have called 911.

"Freddy, we need an ambulance, now!" I yell.

"Foxy, I'm driving a f***ing car right now! Do you want to get in in accident or what?"

I shut up and wait to reach the hospital. But, seeing as I'm not patient, I yell again.

"Faster, Freddy! Mangle's dying right now!"

He goes a little bit faster and we reach the er minutes later.

I undo the seatbelt, grab Mangle and rush inside to the nearest doctor, Freddy behind me.

The doctor looks at Mangle, than to me. He grabs a speaker and yells into it.

Literal seconds after, doctors come rushing in with a bed and take Mangle from me. They run carefully to an operating room and I try to follow them, but one of the doctors pulls me back.

He leads Freddy and I to a room and tells us to wait here until Mangle's surgery is finished.

Defeated, I sit down beside Freddy and sigh. He reaches over to me.

"Mangles gonna be fine, I'm sure," he tells me. I turn to him.

I really did hate this guy before. But he just drove Mangle to the hospital for me, and he doesn't like me, either. Perhaps he's not bad at all.

I smile. "Thanks, Fred. For driving me."

He nods happily and does this thing called a 'bro-shake'. "Anything for a fellow bro!"

I grin as well as him and we chat for a bit, calming my nerves.

A while later he pulls up his pants, grabs his keys and stands up. "I better get going. You'll be fine, right?" He asks. I nod.

"Yea. Thanks again, and drive safe!" I call out as he leaves. I sit back down and look at the clock.

I ignore the time. Mangle means more than staying safe.

Time goes slower the more worried you are.

I've read 3 comic books (none of them super interesting), and the rest of the books are just super girly magazines about who Justin Beiber is dating.

"Mr.Crimson? Mangle is ready to see you now."

I whip my head around. The nurse is standing there with a smile on her face.

I get up an walk towards her. "S-she's alright?"

The nurse nods and I hug her.

Mangle is alright. She's breathing!

I run to her room and peer inside to see a pink-haired vixen lying in a hospital bed, out cold.

I turn back to the nurse who now has a frown on her face. "It might be a while until she wakes up again, so--"

"I want to sleep here," I cut her off. "Mangle means everything to me, I want to be with her no matter what."

"That can be arranged. Do you want to phone your parents?"

"S-sister. Parents were...." I correct her. She nods and leads me to a phone. I dial my home number and wait.

Beeeeep.... Beeeeeep...

"Hello?" A sleepy Alia says.

Ten minutes later, Alia arrives with a blanket and a change of outfit. And, as I expected, a lecture.

"Don't you know you're not supposed to sneak around at midnight?! You could've ended up like mom and dad!"

She stops pacing and brings me into a bear hug. "But you saved Mangle! Oh, I'm so proud of you!"

She finally stops and says goodbye to me. I then sit in the chair next to Mangle and look down at her wrists.

Stitches.

I hold her hand and kiss her forehead.

"Goodnight, Mangle. Wake up soon!"
