Chapter Two.

"The principal will see you now."

Martha had given me my new timetable, which luckily for me, is practically the same as Cherie. At least I am going to have a friend in each class. I walk into the room that says 'Principal'. It is a pretty dinky room. The usual cabinets, window, mahogony desk and huge chair. The chair is facing the other way so I can not actually see the face of my new principal.

"Uh, hi. I am Coco."

The chair turned around to reveal my Uncle Bob. Now, that is a surprise.

"Hello Coco, it is so good to see you again! It has been, what, ten years?"

"Woah, uh, yeh. Haven't seen you since your wedding. How have you been?"

"Wonderful. Lara and I have two beautiful girls, 7 and 9. You should come around and meet them sometime."

"I would love that."

"Okay, good. Now, being a smart girl and all, I am guessing that you have figured out that I am the principal here at Sunshine High. I know you are going through a lot, so that is why I accepted you. Especially after that, incident shall we say, at your last school. Try not to burn down our science department here. Off you go now, don't want to be late on your first day."

That's my Uncle Bob. Speaking so fast that you can only pick up a few words to get the gist of what he says.

"Thanks, Uncle. I will see you around."

I walked out of the room to be greeted by Cherie. She so does not seem like the bad girl type. Oh well, looks can be deceiving. Very deceiving if your own father can not recognise you. I used to be quite normal with my appearance, wearing main stream clothing and shoes, and 'classy' make up, as my mummy-dearest called it. The attention grabbing part of my old self was my long, wavy crimson red hair, deep green eyes and sun-kissed skin. Now though I have died it dark brown hair, with hot pink streaks through-out. I have my ears traditionally pierced, plus 5 piercings on the rim of my right ear. Along with my ears, I have my nose and belly button pierced. To really make my eyes pop, I tend to wear thick black eyeliner and mascara, but not to the point of making me look like a raccoon.

Once again, I distract myself with my own thoughts. I realise that Cherie and I have left the office, now outside what I presume to be, my locker.

"So here is your locker. Which also just so happens to be right next to mine! How cool is that?"

"Oh, right. Awesome! What class do we have first?"

"English. Joy. The teacher is a total bitch but it is so much fun making her face go bright red with FURY!"

The way she says fury, so low and menacing, makes me crack up laughing, and after a second, Cherie joins in.

"Who are you gorgeous? I am certain I would remember getting with you, especially with body like that."

I look behind me to see one of THE hottest guys I have ever laid eyes on. I swear he could be mistaken for a Greek God. He has light Brown hair, hazel eyes and a body that even David Beckham in his hay day could not compete with. Unfortunately, he knows this and therefore is an arrogant player. Ugh.

"Oh I am sure you would. Unfortunately for you, you will only ever dream about me as I have absolutely NO interest in you."

He looked like a stunned mullet, and so did most of the people in the hallway. It was quite hilarious really. Did he really think with a dumb line like that, I would give myself to him? Yeh, right.

"Come on Cherie, let's get to class. No one here is cool enough to be in our presence."

When saying that, I look right at the Greek God, grab Cherie's hand and walk past him. Hopefully in the right direction. However, before we get very far, Cherie stops. I look at her wondering what's wrong as she is shaking. It isn't until I see her face that I see that she is laughing.

"OMG! I can not believe that you just shut down Jace Brown like that. He is like, the hottest and of course, the most popular guy in the school. Every girl wants him, and he has had his turn with pretty much every girl. You come along and he doesn't even get a chance to work his charm."

She says this last bit wiggling her eyebrows.

"Well, he has another thing coming if he thinks I am going to be just another screw. Wait, what about you? Has his charm worked itself on you?"

"Wish I could be cool and say no. But yeh, we actually went out all through our first two years of high school. He was my first and I was his. After the summer before grade 10 though, he came back with this whole new attitude. Dumped me, and his friends to become the popular jerk he is now. Shame really, he used to be really sweet."

"Oh I am so sorry. God, what a prick."

"Don't worry about it. I was going to dump him soon anyway. We weren't really getting along that well. So no need to feel sorry for me. Come on, class starts in like 2 minutes."
