Natasha
After Scar told me not to disturb her I went to the kitchen to fix myself a drink. Today has been incredibly long, if I would say, and all I want to do is drink and sleep. Until I forgot there were still people in my home.
"Are you going to leave now?" I had asked toward the group of four people in my living room including the bodyguard.
"When were you going to tell us you had a fiancée?" My mother had asked surprisingly calmly.
"Never." I had stated, but in all honesty I had told my dad about this two month ago, and I told him to not mention it to my mother.
"Well I will love to meet this fiancée of yours since in due time she will be my daughter-in-law." She had stated in a matter of fact way.
"She is sleeping right now, and you will not disturb that. Plus who knows what you are going to do, let's not remember when you tried to have Fredrick killed, because Ry had feelings for him, by the way it was Ry who went for him not the other way." I told my mother.
"Hey don't bring back memories sis, today is not the day." Ry had imputed into the conversation.
"It's not a lie, so why do I have to trust her to be around my beloved, and not to kill her." I replied to him.
And with that he rolled his eyes and grabbed Fredrick by the waist and led him out of the living room, not bothered by us anymore.
"So are you going to leave now?" Now getting irritated with everyone that is still here.
"Fine we will leave, but first I need to use the restroom, before we leave. It is ok to pee in your house right? Or do I have to wait hours ahead?" She asked being very and may I say very cocky at the moment.
"Wouldn't you want to pee yourself, mother." And with that I got up at the same time as she did, but I went to the kitchen to fix myself another drink, but decided against it, and got water.
Tonight wasn't the night to be getting over aggressive drunk. Then my father came into the kitchen along with his bodyguard.
"Where is the little boy?" Asking in reference to Maxwell.
"I told him to leave." He simply responded, but I knew better to know he told him to leave. Then I looked at him in disbelief.
"Fine I gave him money to drop this whole encounter and then he left." He said while sitting at the kitchen bar.
"You know we were just looking out for you, right?" My dad said out of nowhere.
"And what was that?" I asked him.
"You are 21 years old, and by that time I was already married to your mother for 3 years. We wanted to make sure that you live a good life with someone other than Ry and Fredrick." He said meaning each and every word. See that's the thing my father never lied even to his kids, he made sure to tell all the truths, and never keep us in the shadows unless it was for our protection, and that's what I loved more about him. Honesty.
"But this is what I don't understand Ry is older than me. Shouldn't he be the one finding someone to settle down with not that I'm against Fredrick and Ry being together, but why me? I mean I thought in tradition the eldest took the position while as the youngest got the financial underground legal things." I mean I really don't understand.
"Ry!" My dad yelled and soon Ry came in looking for our father..
"Tell her son." My dad said.
"Tell me what?" I questioned both of the men.
"Yeah dad tell her what?" Ry spoke.
"Ry......" After my dad said his name Ry looked to the floor and right back to my face and with a serious look he said.
"I don't want to be the leader." He said looking me in the eye.
"What do you mean you don't want to be the leader? You are very capable of doing the job, and as far as I can tell you don't have a mental illness." I stated to Ry.
"I know I am capable, and no I don't have any kind of mental illness, but I just don't want the position." He stated.
At that moment I truly did not understand what was going on, until I saw Fredrick's head stick out a little from the doorway of the kitchen listening to our conversation. So I decided to call him out of his hiding spot.
"Come here Fredrick now." I had said sternly in my voice.
And at my command he had came to my side.
"Why ar-" I was about to question him, but was interrupted by Ry.
"Me and Fredrick are engaged to each other, and he has made it very clear that the only way he would marry me is if I was out of the Mafia life forever." Ry had answered vastly.
At that moment I looked at Fredrick not believing what I had heard, then to my father who was looking straight ahead not daring to face me. At this moment I was angered. Angered that one no one told me of such an act, two that when I was crowned queen he would leave me and lastly three that nobody told me!
I was completely angered by this conversation and decided to leave and head to the bedroom with Scar even though she wanted to be alone.
So as I was making my way to the room Fredrick had pulled on my arm, attempting to stop me from going any farther.
"Please, I thought if I made that request, then he would stop pursuing me, but he didn't, and that he must really love me. Please believe me! I didn't mean for any of this to happen-"
I pushed my arm out from his hold and went into my bedroom, closing the door and locking it. I could still hear Fredrick crying from outside, but my nerves were about to explode. I went directly to the bathroom and took a bath, maybe for a long time, but it was needed.
I got out the tub and went to the bed and saw that Scar was leaning on the headboard, as if she was waiting for me. She rubbed my back and kissed my cheek.
"We will talk about it in the morning. Okay?"
I nodded my head and fell asleep.
