You threw the remote down on to the mattress beside you, giving up on finding anything to watch on the television and letting out a long sigh as you just settled for whatever was already on.
Not looking up from the magazine she was reading, Natasha's ears perked up at your exasperated sound, "You alright babe?"
"Yeah just ... nothing on as usual."
Glancing up from the page, she shot you a million dollar grin, "You could always watch me."
"Cheese ball." You laughed, crossing your legs in front of you on the bed and settling back against the cushions.
It was a Saturday afternoon and after a stressful week for the Avengers, the team had collectively decided it was time for a weekend off to just relax and unwind. Relieved to finally get some time away from everyone else, you and Natasha had decided a quiet weekend indoors would be perfect and a chance for you to get a little closer. The two of you had been seeing each other for nearly six months now and it was getting to the stage of being something more serious than casual dating.
Your attention drifted back towards the television for just a moment, that was until Natasha let out a low whistle and raised the magazine to her face so she could analyse it properly, "Well hello there."
You raised an eyebrow enquiringly, prompting her to turn the magazine towards you so that you could see what she was looking at and you couldn't stop your nose from crinkling in disgust. "Ew no."
"What?" She asked, tilting the page back towards herself so she could look at it again, "Come on, just cause you're a lesbian it doesn't mean you can't appreciate a good looking guy when you see one."
Peering over her shoulder for another glance, your look of disdain only increased further as you scanned over the topless man in the photograph. "I don't see it."
"Well I'm just saying ... I wouldn't say no." Muttered Natasha, looking down at the model a final time before flicking the page over."
Hitting the red head on her arm, you shot her a glare, "I'm literally right here."
Smirking playfully, Natasha looked you up and down, "Yeah I see you."
"Well thanks very much."
Throwing the magazine to one side and breathing out a laugh, Natasha turned to face you properly, crossing her legs in front of her, "Why does this bother you so much?"
"It doesn't." You mumbled, picking at a thread on the duvet and not even trying to sound convincing.
Nudging you gently in the leg, her amusement only increased as you wouldn't look up at her, "Come on, spit it out."
Breathing out slowly, you finally dared to look Natasha in the eye, the amused twinkle in her eye making you feel a little stupid for even having an issue, "It's just a bit ... I dunno ... it's not you, it's just me being insecure."
She could see that you weren't really in the mood to be made fun of and her face softened, reaching out for your hand and giving it a squeeze, "What's wrong babe?"
"It's ... it's not even a big deal it just bothers me sometimes..." You trailed off, rubbing at the bridge of your nose, "I'm gay."
Clutching her hand to her chest in mock horror, Natasha's mouth dropped open, "You are?!"
"Tash ..." you muttered, a half smile tugging at your lips as she composed herself again and offered an apologetic glance for not being more serious, "And you had only been with guys before me."
"That's true yes." Agreed Natasha, fairly certain she knew what you were getting at.
"Well do you not ... miss it?"
