When voices whisper in your head,
Asking you to make decisions you might regret.
When they grow so loud,
That your mind starts feeling like a stormy cloud.
When they make it too hard for you to breathe,
Giving you a feeling that you're losing the ground underneath.
Do you give up and give in?
Or do you fight till you are left with nothing?
Do you let them make the choice?
Or do you raise above their voice?
When it's all confusing and devastating,
And it's up to you to do the right thing.
Do you suffer the slings and arrows of your own thoughts,
And give excuses of all sorts.
Or do you oppose them with all your might,
And make it out with a fight.
It all narrows down to one thing,
For you to gather courage to be your own king.
