Chapter 1 ~ Summer's Over

Here ya go guys! Even though no one asked for it... anyway this is my new Pokeshipping story, also with Contestshipping as one of the main spotlights too. I don't know if this is gonna be two alternate parts where their both there but it's both of their stories, or if it's gonna be simultaneous. Anyway that's all I have!  Hope you enjoy the book ~KJ

 Misty Waterflower was greeted to the morning sun, though she wasn't in bed. She was on her couch playing a game called Overwatch all night. She ignored her sister calls to get to bed, but would regret at school not listening. Misty looked at her phone and checked the time. '6:00' She thought. 'Perfect.' She hurriedly turned off the XBOX and controller, got a blanket out of the basket in the corner, and jumped on the couch. Laying the blanket on her cold body, pretending to be sound asleep. Misty's sisters stomped down the steps about five minutes later, grumbling because they also had to go to school since it was a Monday morning, and also the first day of school.

You see, Misty's mom had died in a fatal car accident several years ago. Her dad struggled to take care of them, and on top that, the house, car, and everything else. He shot himself about a year after Misty's mom died. Now, her sisters take care of her, and she chips in a bit too.

One of her sisters, Daisy, went to shake her awake. Misty pretended to wake up, refreshed, and want to go to school. But she didn't. She didn't want to go to school and deal with that loser Ash Ketchum. Misty slowly got off the couch and walked slowly to the kitchen, grabbing a muffin and quickly putting her hair up into her usual side ponytail, changing into her school clothes, and running back down the stairs, hurriedly grabbing her phone also. 

"Bye." Her voice echoed through the house while grabbing her bookbag that had a pattern of Goldeen and Seaking on it, swimming around. "Wait!" Violet, another one of her sisters, called through the house. Misty ignored it and ran out the door. She quickly jumped on the bus and sat by her best friends, Duplica and Iris.

May Maple woke up to the bright, morning sun and the smell of pancakes wafting through her house, up to her room. It was her favorite food, and her mom must've cooked it for her cause it was a very special day. Back to School. Oh, How May loved back to school. Oddly. May jumped out of bed and walked down the stairs to freshly-made pancakes on the coffee table. 

She smiled and went to hug her mother and father, who made the pancakes, and then went to eat them. 

May was a rich girl. Her dad was a gym leader and worked nearby, while her mom was a doctor and earned a lot of money. She also had a brother, but he was really annoying. May was very popular, and all the boys in the school wanted to be with her...except for one lime-green color haired boy. He was an outcast, and only had specific friends. He would go behind the school and smoke and do drugs every day after school. May hated him. She had caught him multiple times grabbing a cigarette pack out of his locker and quickly walking away from his locker. He was lucky that May let him get away with it on Friday's. Most people tease them that they like each other. Opposite's Attract much?

May finished her pancakes, hugged her parents goodbye, and walked to the bus. (I've never been on a school bus before so idk how it works) She jumped on, saying a quick "Hi" to the bus driver, and went to sit beside her best friends Serena and Dawn. As she walked to her seat, boys fawned over her, and she scowled at Drew, the Lime-Colored hair boy, who did finger-guns and a yellow-toothed sideways smile at her. Serena and Dawn just did an 'Ugh.' Face at him. Drew just laughed and talked to his friends, who were also crack-heads, Paul and Brendan. Misty and her group got along with Drew and his friends (even though they weren't crack heads), while May got along with some other boys, Gary, Clemont, and Red. Gary and his gang were popular and rich, while Drew and his gang were less fortunate and grew up and were taught the wrong things.

"So, heard ya like Ash Ketchum..." Duplica smirked. Misty just grinned. "Duplica, you know I hate that loser." she said. "Well you seem to hang out with him a lot. What a kid!" Iris chimed in loudly, the whole bus hearing her. May looked forward from the back where she was sitting and just dismissed the yelling. "Sooo...," Serena said, "I heard you like Drew!" May just looked at her like she was about to smack her. "Don't be dumb! Why would you think that!?" She half-yelled. "Shhhh!" Dawn put a finger to her lips, "We don't want to become like Misty and her outcast group!" May and Serena nodded at what Dawn said. "I thought you liked him because you always hang out together." Serena scratched her head.

Both May and Misty were thinking the same thing.

"Well..." they both muttered, in their heads.

"Maybe...I do like Ash/Drew a bit...."

Ok! First chapter all done! Also happy Halloween guys! I'm going as Dawn, because for some reason my mom wouldn't let me wear a crop-top, probably because it's cold where I live. It's gonna be really rainy tonight and I'm going with my friends for the first time ever! Sorry I made Serena and Dawn and May sound so snobby in this story, also Misty and Iris and Duplica sound so um...mean I guess? I don't know the word for it. I know I'm kinda ranting, probably cause I want to get over one thousand words, cause I don't usually do Author's Notes this long, or do Author's Notes in general. Anyway, Please vote and Comment!
