Epilogue

Ariel

I wanted to show Harmony and Melody something special. I asked Daddy to come and transformed me into my mermaid self. 

The sisters were in the castle steps , waiting for me. 

"Ok, mom, what's going on here?" Harmony asks curiously as Melody agrees, "Yeah, I mean, Harmony and I were just about curious about what this surprise you have in store for us. " 

I chuckled at my daughters. 

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise now would it?" I said, as Daddy came out to the surface, as he uses the trident to transform me into my mermaid self. 

"Com'on! We have to get into the water." I said, as the girls touched their magical lockets and they jumped in. 

I led the girls to my special place. 

They were amazed and looked around the cove. 

"Mother, it's beautiful! " Harmony exclaimed, as she touches the lost human things I've collected when I was their age. 

"I swam the ocean as long as I can remember when the Sea Wall was built, but I never seen a cove filled with human treasures before." Melody said, looking at her surroundings. 

Flounder and Sebastian arrived , as they knew I would be here with my girls. 

"You're finally showing them the Cove, aren't you , Ariel?" Sebastian asks. 

I nodded, "Yes, it is about time I showed them a little bit of my childhood. I mean, Harmony basically lived with Morgana while Melody has no idea of the world of the Sea. 

I have to show them my world that I grew up with, and it's a memory that they both will never forget. " 

Melody 

I couldn't believe it. This is a beautiful cove, filled with human stuff. "Sis, can you believe this place? 

I never seen anything like it." 

Harmony nods, "It's nothing I never seen before. " That was when an familiar voice said, "This was your mother's cove. 

She collected human stuff when she was around your age. It lead her a lot of trouble, and this cove is special to her." 

"Sebastian!" I said, as Harmony looks at the crab for the first time. "Uh, you know him, sis? I never seen him before." 

"Allow me to introduce you then. This is Sebastian, he's a childhood friend of Mom's, along with Flounder and Scuttle."

Your grandfather had no idea until I um, accidently revealed the truth about your mother falling in love with your father." 

Harmony was surprised by this as well as I do. 

"Really? How did Mom and Dad meet? We want to know everything about it, and we want to know about her childhood! " 

Mom chuckles at me. "Settle down, Melody. There is plenty of time for a storytelling. " 

Harmony 

Seeing Mom's Cavern is very breathtaking , as if I was in a dream. Even though I wasn't part of Melody's life , maybe this would be something new that I will treasure forever with her.

As I swam for alone time, I knew things would be different. 

"All these years... I never knew. 

"Look around , this place is what I known all my life, 

things are ordinary , but that doesn't seem the case. 

I discovered something that I never thought was possible, 

to be with my true family, I finally found the true place where I belong." 

"Harmony?" I hear Melody ask as she swam next to me, "Is there something bothering you? If.. you don't want to talk about it..." 

I touched the seashell musical necklace that had my named craved in it. "Oh, I was just thinking about us. 

It still doesn't grasp to me that you and I were sisters all this time, and you went through all this trouble because of my disappearance when we were babies. " 

Melody touches my shoulder, "Harmony, com'on, it's all right. You really don't have to be the one who felt responsible for all of this to happen. " 

Sebastian said, "You know, you girls really are much like your mother than you realized. Ariel is completely stubborn when she was your age. When she met Eric, your father, he didn't even realize that she was Trition's daughter! 

No matter what the odds, your parents always support each other,  either as a mermaid or human. 

Besides, watching how much you both grown, my heart was full with joy of how much you have become. 

Harmony, your past may not be perfect, but it really helps you move forward. " 

I never thought of it that way, and maybe Sebastian was right, maybe it's time for Melody and I be truly be ourselves and be the family we're always meant to be .
