Flashback Maddy POV
"Come on Maddy we're going to be late for our flight if you keep stopping." My mom said laughing. She and my father were the only people who understood me and knew how to cheer me up. "Sorry, mom!" I wasn't the best child but my parents didn't care. They were happy that I was in their lives but I never knew why. I wasn't a sweet child that was obedient. My classmates called me the Devils child. I got that nickname because whatever I did always turned out bad even just staying in a corner doing nothing. We were finally going to America to visit my dad's family. My father always talked about his family and how they were the people who told him to follow his dreams and travel. He always talked about how if it wasn't for his family telling him he should travel and experience new things he wouldn't have met my mom. My parents knew I wasn't going to be the best child but they knew I was going to make them proud one day.

The plane ride to Florida was long and when we arrived it was hot. I had known a little bit of English when we met my aunts and uncles so I could understand them.
"Hi Madison I'm you Aunt June and this is your cousin Dakota." All I did was a wave and stayed near my dad. I wasn't shy, I just hated talking to people and I hated the name Madison. I was only named Madison because it's my mom's favorite name and my father's mom's name.

"She's shy sometimes and she can get a little moody." My Dad always knew how to cover up my behavior and people believe him and my mother every time. My mother learned English from my father and she's fluent but she never liked speaking it she only learned it for me and my father. At the time I was only 8.

"Maddy come on let's go to the beach and play in the water!" My Mom always knew what would cheer me up especially when I'm around new people. I still remember playing on the beach. The sand was hot and got stuck between my toes as soon as I stepped into the water it felt cold but a good type of cold. I saw Kermit crabs and crabs all through the day. That day was awesome, it was one of the only times I ever saw my parents look so excited to see me happy. It was rare. It's like I didn't feel emotions.

"Maddy MADDY MADDY!"  I looked up to see Taehyung waving his hand in my face. "I've been calling your name for the past two minutes. What were you thinking about?" How were that two minutes it felt like I was in a never-ending cycle of memories? "It was nothing." I didn't feel like explaining my feelings and childhood experiences. I could see that Taehyung wanted to help me but he let the thought slide and walked away. I want to open up to the boys but I've never opened up to anyone. It's just something that I don't do and something that feels weird to me in every way, shape, or form.
