Part 16: Run

Brynn: How are going to get there in time?

Lindsay: Maddie!

Kenzie: exactly..

In the car

Maddie: so you're telling me that Johnny is about to fly to Canada to pursue his music career but you want to stop him?

Kenzie: yes!

Maddie: why? I thought you were over him!

Kenzie: I am! But how could he do this to me? He forced me to go to school but now he's not even finishing the school year! That's just not fair!

Brynn: is that the reason? I thought you just said that you want him-

Lindsay puts her hand over Brynn's mouth

Maddie: oh I see

Maddie winks at Brynn

Lindsay: how much longer?

Maddie: another 5 minutes

Kenzie: ok good he said his plane doesn't take off until 9:00

Maddie: but Kenzie that's when the plane takes off. You board 30 minutes before. You legit have five minutes to even catch a glimpse of him

Kenzie: STEP ON IT

Maddie: jeez

Kenzie's POV: if I don't see Johnny I'm going to flip out. I need to see Johnny.

At the airport

Maddie: you have 3 minutes to find his gate

Kenzie: k byeeee

Lindsay: RUN!

Kenzie's POV: I start running harder then I ever have before. I continue, eventhough my chest is heaving and my legs are hurting. I run. Then at the corner of my eye I see Johnny throwing out a water bottle. I run up to him and shout his name.

Kenzie: JOHNNY!

Johnny: huh? Mackenzie?

Kenzie: Johnny it's me!

Kenzie runs up to him and gives him a hug

Johnny: what are you doing here!

Kenzie: you can't leave!

Johnny: but I signed with a record label, I have to.

Kenzie: please don't, what about school? What about us?

Johnny: well you don't seem like you even cared about "us" Mackenzie

Kenzie: it won't be the same! We can work this out! Johnny I love you so much! As a friend, as a best friend as boyfriend!

Johnny: Kenz I have to go sorry or I'm going to miss my flight.

Johnny starts walking away and Kenzie breaks down in tears Johnny turns around

Johnny: but Mackenzie......I've always loved you

Then he boards the plane

Kenzie continues to cry then the others come

Brynn: how did it go?

Lindsay: did you find him?

Kenzie: I found him, we talked but he still left....

Maddie: aww Kenz give your sis a hug

Maddie and Kenzie hug

Brynn & Lindsay: and us

They all hug then walk out of  the airport holding hands

Johnny's POV: I board the plane, I feel horrible, heartbroken and regretful. I shouldn't have left but I did. I shouldn't have convinced Kenzie to go to school but I did. I shouldn't have signed with a record label but I did. I betrayed her. I know it! But why did I even listen to Annie in the first place? Why did I believe all of her lies? Why? Other then that Lauren stayed in LA to continue with school. She made the right decision. I don't know what to do. Then the plane takes off. There's no going back.

At Kenzie's house

Melissa: oh baby girl, I heard what happened? You ok?

Kenzie: no

Melissa: aw why don't you go freshen up, put some pjs on and I'll make some hot cocoas it's gotten a bit fresh tonight. Makes sense because it's October and the middle of fall.

Maddie: mom I think she gets it common guys

In Kenzie's room

Lindsay: how you doing?

Kenzie: horrible, how could he do this to me?

Brynn: well he signed with a record label, that must be quite hard to undo. He definitely has a contract too.

Kenzie: I never thought of that! How could I be so stupid?

Lindsay: well to be honest that's the smartest thing Brynn's said all day so...

Kenzie: true...

Melissa: ok here's 3 hot cocoas

Brynn: yum

Melissa: enjoy

Melissa passes them the hot cocoa and then leaves the room

*buzz*

Lindsay: who texted?

Kenzie: idk I'll check....oh my god it's Annie she said "you haven't seen nothing yet"

Brynn: oh my god
